I like the nuance and detailed way you went about making this. Much better than some of the common and more empty representations of the Two Row.

This is very well done. Instead of contentious bickering, it has a very mature wisdom on how to keep peace. As a christian, I can completely find common ground with these people, they have a wonderful outlook on things. Free will is what the Creator has given us. A will to choose, but also love and justice in which we can live peacefully beside one another. We are all created in the image of God and have value and worth. We are really brothers, we all come from one another and should be respectful towards each other. Let the individual choose the "boat" they wish to enter. This outlook does not contradict Gods word in the bible, they are in agreement with the principals taught there. Well done, you are a person I could walk besides in life. I am showing this to my 13 year old daughter as we study early american history. We need more of this kind of conversation today, I am weary of all the fighting, let us walk together in peace. In Jesus Name. AMEN

respectfully, you completely missed the point. it would be nice to do as you say, but the fact of the matter is there is a GENOCIDE that happened between the signing of this treaty, and you being born. and thus there is work to do before peace will come. mind you, only ONE side of the treaty never followed through. ONE side of the treaty broke the peace. we are brothers, but we need to act as such- and that doesn’t mean simply living your life and giving a friendly smile and wave to any Onkwehonwe person you see. our entire way of life is built on the destruction of their land, from the electricity we rely on that comes from dammed (and thus destroyed) river ecosystems and mining for coal (destroying forests and mountains), to the food we eat that is grown in huge, sweeping monocultures in areas that were once forest or prairie, but now support no life but our own. we cut down the forest hundreds of years ago, and yet cut whatever grows back in order to make shopping malls and new suburban neighborhoods. none of that is living in peace. none of that is living in brotherhood. your sentiments are pure and i appreciate that, but you and i have blood on our hands, blood that only a clean river, something you not i have ever known, can wash away.

Answer me this how could anyone be an Indian when the etymology of Indian only goes back 540 years? We’re your people called Indian before Columbus came here to the America’s? What relation did your people have with the moor who are called black people today? I would be grateful

No. We are Ogwehoweh, The Original Beings. Does that answer your question?

@jimhere1 unfortunately, this person believes that Onkwehonwe are not actually the original people of this land. they believe that Black people were here first. they are incorrect, and think of land as simply as europeans do, which is proof enough for me. many people stray into racism when arguing against these people (many call them “wabos”), which is wrong.
