Man I am really sorry that this happened to you..... I had watched your Viper video (apologies, as I know it was made clear you don't want to review suggestions that are made ironically) and really liked it, this popped up in my recommended and I said hey Im going to give this one a shot too. For what it's worth, you explained the situation so well that I was able to relate to it in almost identical experiences but with the acts just being in different genres. Earned my subscription, going to sit down with a night coffee session and your videos.

Here's my little story: You know, I sat in a hotel room in the middle of nowhere when these releases went up for pre-order and wasn't too eager to spend. But I sat down with my finger hovering above the check out button and had second thoughts. Now, I have no idea what I spent that money on but it sure as hell wasn't amm. Maybe it was the ghost town i was in at the time, helping me out. Who knows.

We went back and forth about all this months ago on Twitter, and I watched this video with my girlfriend who I've been telling all about Elmer Judd's shenanigans and I guess coming from me it seemed like I was making a big stink about nothing but her reactions to this video was a constant state of "Oh my god, WHAT? They did WHAT?" Had me laughing and 'I told you so'-ing the whole time.

Myke, thank you for making this. I was trying to find out more about the situation and all I find on the internet is a bunch of here say. I bought "Dethroned, Conquered and Forgotten" from Appalachian Noise Records, thinking it was either an official press. At the time I hadn't heard anything about AMM, but I found out about it shortly before my record arrived. It plays really well, good quality, but definitely noticed its a bootleg from AMM. Blake's antics need to stop.

this entire saga has been hilarious. i know you basically just covered your experience, but damn i really wish you covered the part about him pretending to be some other guy that bought all off AMM's stock and then was trying to sell it off. every time i think its going to end, he just does something even more stupid.

I think I was aware Blake was involved from the beginning, but willingly took the risk the first time to get "The First Sub Level of Suicide" CD. It arrived exactly when it was supposed to. The only other thing I ordered was the "Withered Upon Her Kingdom of Was" 7" (mine also does not fit in jacket). I contacted them several times after it had been due for a bit, but got no response. When I finally contacted Bandcamp, AMM contacted me with a tracking#, and I got it shortly thereafter. However, by that point I had read about a lot of the scummy shit they had been involved with, and decided to no longer risk anything further with them (even for Leviathan material).... Glad you made this video; people who don't know, should...... Thanks!

I got all my stuff from them but it took about 3 or 4 months. Unfailing Fall came about 2 months after that and by that time I had forgotten that I had ordered it .

Sorry to hear that you went through this, dude. As a metal fan from Illinois, Blake has been an embarrassment for quite some time. It's a shame, really. I once thought Blake was a stand-up guy and that his band had a lot of potential (Instinct: Decay is still a record I enjoy quite a bit).

Popmarket is another one to never buy from. Their site looks legit, they’re doing promotions , but if you look in the comments of any of their threads it’s pissed off customers bc they never received their records and they have the audacity to keep up the advertising side of the business and taking peoples money. I bought an animal collective 3 album bundle about 2 years ago now, safe to assume that’s never coming in. Just something about continuing shitty Facebook live videos about their giveaways while they don’t fulfill orders makes me so damn angry

Alright i'm pretty late but here is my AMM story: i'm a huge leviathan fan from germany and wanted to own the "special edition" of first sublevel as soon as i heard they where going to release it. So i preordered it at the same day it went up. It took till oktober this year to arrive. After 5 messages on facebook (they didn't answer btw) they deleted their facebookpage and i was in the dark. So send 4 emails and never heard back but as soon as i filled a paypal claim it was send. So i got the vinyl and here the fun begins: The picture vinyl is stratched so one song is fucked, the cover has these weird stratch marks and the 7" came without a jacket. Also the patch that was advertised was the wrong one (advertised was this round one with the cover on it and i got a flimsy logopatch) so i messaged them again because i got the wrong one and never got an answer. Gonna say this: the worst label i've ever ordered from! Fuck them!

I opened up a case once I heard the JI releases were boots and that Wrest dropped out. For some reason I could not escalate the claim so the whole process took 2-3 weeks. Not once did the label reply to me or respond to the claim. Blake ripped me off on a CD purchase some years ago as well. So many promises to send this and that. Never once following through. Haven't purchased a Nachtmystium album since Demise. How many bridges can one person burn?

I preordered the First Sublevel cd and got it the week it came out. I preordered Twilight Trident Death Rattle and Leviathan Unfailing deluxe cd and they were late. I got the Leviathan cd around the end of May when it was supposed to be shipped at the beginning of May I think. The poster that came with it was messed up. In the summer, I sent emails about the Twilight cd and was promised it was on the way with extras. A couple weeks went by and nothing. I sent another email and didn’t get a reply. I filed with PayPal and within a week received the cd with a patch and poster.

Basically same story, thought he may cleaned up so i picked up a few tapes. But after a few months of a run around, but just got my money back this week.

Thanks for making this tasteful, couth, uninflammatory video about this shit. Nobody can keep a level head when dealing with this fucker so as always youre THE class act. I'm so glad I don't really participate in vinyl mania like this.

This sucks Myke. I also order vinyl from various media outlets, sometimes from artists themselves and what irks me the most is mostly production delays. My issue is “why do you even put a time window on release dates if you haven’t even manufactured the damn product yet?” There have been times where I have waited months past the initial release date just to get my fuckin vinyl. And that’s after numerous e-mails expressing my concern. So I feel you on this one. It’s just really shitty business practice.

The only thing I ever ordered from them were two Leviathan cassettes. Thank God other releases came up from other labels and I never bought anything else from AMM. I strangely had zero issue with my purchases - all came at the appropriate time and in mint condition. Sorry about all of y'all's orders.

I miss "peace out bitches" :( I appreciate the change but, man. But yeah, sucks about all this stuff taking forever. I been in situations making stuff when you just screw up something and get so far behind the ball that there isn't really a good way out. I been there, I worked my way out of it, ate my shit and moved on. But I learned from those mistakes and where to apply my efforts and where to get other people to do the stuff they are good at. I hope these guys figure out what they are good at and where to leave well enough alone, and I hope everyone gets their money or their stuff.

So on eBay a couple months ago a bunch of JI and leviathan records were posted by (who I assume was) Blake’s gf. Anyway I won a auction for a copy of a Ancient Starry Sky. Took almost a week for it to be shipped and twice that to arrive after being tagged as shipped. Got some extra freebies for the wait (a Of Great Eternity record, Ancient Starry Sky cassette, a poster and some stickers or something, oh and a Nachtmystium cd which went straight in the trash) Anyway, I tried to buy a copy of Dethroned, Conquered and Forgotten after that and never got a shipping update after almost 3 weeks so I got refuned and have a bad review. Shortly after that her eBay page was taken down or something. Should’ve learned from dealing with AMM on Bandcamp (which I got a total refund of almost 170 bucks thank god) but I really wanted the stuff. Blake Judd blows.

He ironically mentioned Judds involvement with the mentioned label, and half jokingly said its probably another scam. I'm all for forgiveness and second chances, but the dude needs to sort his shit out.

I had a similar issue with the Band Label Fuzz Club. I never received any of my packages with them sadly I waited then after the release date of the album I began asking about my tracking number. After Months of sending messages to them about my packages I never got a response from them until realizing the album was posted on amazon with a different release date compared to the one in Europe I though they pushed the release date back until finally someone messaged me from the records label asking did I receive my packages ????? I said no I have not and would like a refund they gladly let me do so but what a nightmare!! that experience was. I ended up getting the CD on amazon from a third party seller months later and even spotting it in a record store on vinyl but since the band had a niche following it left me discouraged I mean the band is from California!!

I'm imagining that the one dislike so far is Blake himself being a petty little bitch, THANK YOU MYKE, I have been wondering what happened to my limited edition Lurker of Chalice lp, and the Unfailing Fall Into Naught lp, I had already messaged them several times about both and I got literally NO RESPONSES FOR MONTHS, just filed a dispute with bandcamp, the Unfailing Fall Into Naught is unfortunately out of the 180 day window (Which by the way has it's set estimated shipping and delivery a month after 180 days, so that's fucking fair). But hopefully I get my money back on the Lurker of Chalice Limited Edition version (luckily I received my regular lurker lp) but we'll see. Anyways thank you for shedding light onto this entire scam, and also that dm said it all, nobody in the line of business and especially the owner of a label should ever talk to a customer like that. I wasn't aware of who Blake was until this but fuck him and I hope he loses all of the money he stole.
