@@parjai97 In the same way your facebook account is 'free'. Which you also need to have for this device to work. You simply can't use this device without a facebook account. On top of that, facebook will enforce their ToS on any 'social apps' and there's no way of telling whether or not this will be extended to any multiplayer games. In these 'social apps' your device will be recording everything you see hear and say, all the time. So that at any point you or anyone else can click a report button and all the recordings get uploaded. They say this is only stored locally but it's still creepy as fuck. But that's not where it ends, they even have the capability to tap into your headset LIVE and some 'facebook moderator' (i.e. underpaid asian call center worker) will be able to hear and see everything you see, hear and say. And they can then record anything going on, without your consent or knowledge they're even there and recording. For now, this is supposed to be limited to social apps (Facebook's version of VR Chat) but what has me really worried is they could expand this to all their multiplayer games.

Lets not forget that the Quest has been causing devs to dumb down the graphical fidelity of their games to accommodate the lower power of a stand alone headset, like Onward, I know it isnt for every game but they actively downgraded the graphics to make it easier for the quest to run it, downgrading graphics, removing foliage, and set pieces like furniture aand clutter in houses.

When Xbox players are banned from Xbox Live they can at least still use the console they paid for.

@@jacobcomputers8612 from what I know you can’t, all of your occulus games and account information is tied to the Facebook account you assign it to. Should that account be banned or deleted you would lose all of your stuff purchases and all. It happened to my friend when he deleted an old Facebook account he has linked to his occulus

@@jacobcomputers8612 no whenever he turned on his oculus it would prompt him to sign in to his Facebook account he tried his old one, but since it was deleted it didn’t work. He tried contacted oculus support people and they told him that if the account was removed then he wouldn’t be able to access his former purchases or account details. He only spent like $80 on a couple games but it he was really pissed about the whole thing
