The best thing about this movie is how Keanu went through weapons training for this to make the gun work look as realistic as possible. They don’t have “movie” clips. If a clip has 15 rounds after the 15th bullet he reloads. Keanu also did 80-90% of the “action” scenes. Keanu doesn’t call them stunts cause he doesn’t consider himself a stuntman. He has great respect for the stunt crew and always has gifts for his stunt guys. He and the director (who was his stuntman in “the Matrix” movies) discuss the scenes and if a seasoned stuntman could be seriously hurt then Keanu didn’t do it. Like the scene in the club where John falls off the balcony they had a stuntman do it and they used the club lighting to hide the swap. You have to watch this movie again with the actual subtitles. You’re missing so much cause they put words on the screen when they’re talking and change color when it means something. It’s part of the story as much as the vocal dialogue is. 3:17 Keanu lost a girlfriend and baby within about two years of each other so he’s got a place to pull the emotions from. 4:34 the picture on the card was a daisy which you saw on a coffee cup in his kitchen. 5:51 that poop cost $5,000. For some reason they really wanted to show that the puppy went potty. 9:08 that kind of did happen in real life. A Navy Seal found his dog,Dasy, dead in his yard and chased them through four counties and let the cops take them cause he wasn’t going to ruin his life for them. In the movie they killed the dog cause Iosef felt insulted by John so had to “teach” him a lesson. 10:12 I love that this scene was originally separate where they had Iosef & Aurelio talking then John showing up and showing him talking to Aurelio. They felt it was too long without seeing John so they combined the scenes and made Iosef/Aurelio scene be him telling John what happened. 17:10 it is Kevin Nash and John let him go primarily because he in code told John how many people he had to deal with. 18:40 Keanu did this scene with around a 103 degree fever. 30:57 Miss Perkins ratted him out. 32:19 he took the contract cause it was open and he knew that John could use some help watching his back. 35:45 he directed the knife to his previous gut wound. The whole “I’ll be seeing you” was basically I’ll see you again in hell. 37:35 it was scheduled to be put down so he’s giving the dog a chance at a new life. I love how his wife’s video tied into what was happening.

At the gas station, there were doggy supplies in the back seat. At the runway, the supplies were gone. I assume they were dropped off at home with the dog.

Notes about the dog Wick took at the end, the cage had a sign saying "TO BE PUT DOWN". Wick saved the dog. Also, the dog was adopted by Keanu, so that's his own dog in real life. "Be seeing you" is a line common in the Wickverse, not a line of survival though. Basically "See you in Hell" is what it means.

The reason Marcus took the contract in the first place was because Vigo told him it was an open contract. In other words, if he didn't take it, someone else would.

Looks like you are watching some bootleg version with no subtitles. The onscreen ones in color is significant because they are relaying coded messages to the audience so you didn’t pick up on any of these. It’s like watching a 3D movie without the glasses, you’re only seeing half the movie.

New subscriber here. Going forward each John Wick film simply gets better. Now personally I like number 3 after this one although 2 and 4 are amazing. I like 3 just a bit more. Halle Berry is unbelievable in it. == There is conjecture by a lot of long time viewers that it was likely that John's wife was a veterinarian. She gave him a dog. There are any number of things she could have given. At the end John knew where he could get what he needed to fix his wounds. As he and the new dog are walking away they are walking where John's wife collapsed. Another interesting thing is the note she wrote accompanying Daisy mentions the car in such a way that it implies she gave it to him. One of those cars these days goes for about $200,000 - $400,000 dollars. Especially in the shape that car is. Great reaction man. I can't wait to see the rest of the series from your viewpoint. A great achievement when it comes to so-called Gun Fu, Jiu Juitsu and stunt work. But it would have been nicer if they had used an actor who had more expressiveness. Apart from the ridiculously weak scripts of the sequels.
