I was the same way when I was homeschooling. Every Spring there was a huge book sale for homeschoolers at a neighboring town and we would always go there and buy used curriculum. It was also a way to talk to other homeschooling Mom's and get ideas, thoughts, etc. Also, we belonged to a homeschooling group that met once a week and we would have a special day of talking about and showing curriculums that we had used and we would swap books back and forth. So for example there were 3 other mothers who used the same reading curriculum and I used for my son and we would trade the different grade levels around. That way we all did not have to buy everything new. It saved us a lot of money and it was fun and informative. We even talked about difficulties we may of had with our children and told what worked for us. I hate snakes as well. We watch for them here with our chickens also. Usually it is just grass snakes or garter snakes that we have trouble with. No matter what kind of snake I do not like them. Take care.

Our oldest just graduated from college! 😳 We have a lot of major life events happening...when I was having baby after baby after baby I didn't completely comprehend the fact that at the other end of childhood is major life event after major life event! It's all so amazing, but can be a tad overwhelming!
