Wouldn't worry too much about the chlorophyll. Last year bluefin were near shore off Dana point, south of the harbor. It was the dirtiest water. Dark Green to dirty turqoise water and the bluefin were blowing up everywhere.

Bluefin not care too much about it, they will certainly be in it if there is amply bait supply, near shore the yellow is turning to red tide tho, they don’t like that.

My favorite part is the chlorophyll charts. I’m too cheap to subscribe to them so thanks for sharing.

they are always available for free on our website under the Resources tab

Great channel and content! I'm a little further north out of Ventura but I appreciate that you touch on my area as well.

What kind of boat did you get? You should make an OTW video about reading conditions as it relates to finding fish. Cheers

That’s the plan, but there is no replacement for time on the water…

Can you expand on wind direction and up/down welling. You state eddy causes down-welling, and that a south wind cause up-welling. These seem in conflict to me. Also offshore winds cause up-welling along the coast? Thanks

Google Coriolis Effect, the position of the NW winds on the outside with a california eddy creates downwelling. If the NW wind has no eddy (little more west direction) then it creates upwelling.
