(when you bank the aircraft and hold level flight by pulling back on the elevator). If you let the nose drop naturally in the bank, the stall speed is not affected.

Very true, I have a QuickSilver 'C' weight shift glider which was one of five built for competition that I've had since 1980 and although you often need some assistance on the launch due to the weight of the tail, once it's airborne it was always a dream to fly,. BTW - the tail is not all that heavy, but due to the extra length behind you it makes it a little awkward to launch by yourself, but with practice you eventually learn how to do it. 😃 I modified the single surface airfoil with a dual surface 'Clark Y' airfoil which extended my glide ratio considerably and due to a few too many back injuries,, (work related), I am now installing a set of moped wheels, similar to Robertson's B1RD ultra - light so I can still enjoy being able to fly

The most important advise in aviation: Always take care of your air speed!
@videos-for-friends Жыл бұрын
The 3 keys to a stable takeoff; 1. Wings level 2. Make small corrections on the controls, I always say “small corrections, small mistakes” 3. Let the plane build speed for a second or two after you rotate, *push forward*, I imagine this is especially important in ultralight operations

I'm a sport pilot since 1989 with lots of close calls, they used to call me locopilot for a good reason. That is a quicksilver ultralight, the company started in the 80s with the models mx, sport, sprint, etc. those are the most forgiving ultralight available in the market, its safety take off 27 mph stall speed 18mph, top speed 50 mph, it's like flying a parachute. He is indeed lucky and was at the lower limit of stalling it, wow!!! My best advice it's... get an instructor and save your self from lots of pain to you and family, thanks.

Bro this is basics of aviation, literally you can learn that basic common sense in Microsoft Flight simulator or war thunder, or enlisted, between many other games that are really realistic
@jedimindtrix21428 ай бұрын
@yuribezmenovthegreat4705 agreed. As someone who grew up around planes (I live in Dayton ohio not far from Wright Patterson afb and my grandpa was former air force) and I have put in 25 hours of time in Cessnas plus countless sim hours. The thing is when you are up there for real vs simulators, suddenly the whole thing becomes much more visceral and the reality of the fact you are actually in the air kicks in. For first timers it can be overwhelming and easy to second guess or freeze up. I highly suggest a few proper lessons at the very least no matter if you are flying an ultralight or not
@jerrymartin70198 ай бұрын
@@jedimindtrix2142 Don't worry, he has over 1000 hours in War Thunder air RB, I'm sure he'll be fine without any formal training whatsoever ;)
@jedimindtrix21428 ай бұрын
@jerrymartin7019 lol. All jokes aside, it's easy to think that because you racked up tons of hours on flight Sims (some realistic, some not) that you will do well in real life. Now, there is a bit of truth to that. If I were on a passenger plane and the pilot went out I'd rather have the passenger who is at leasat comfortable with the dynamics of flight and understands the concepts at play, vs someone who has never even thought about a plane much less flying one. While there is a bit of crossover, it certainly does not replace the proper experience of actually being up there. The feelings and sensations of trubulance and the realization that you are now thousands of feet in the air for real and mistakes can be fatal quickly replaces any ideas you may have of being a "great pilot" the first time up. You are either stupid or lying if you say otherwise. Just like playing an instrument or another artwork, some people take to flying much quicker than others and master/grasp things easier and quicker. Hopefully, if you are brazen enough to go up alone for your first flight, you happen to be one of the "quick" learners....lol.

In America, a person’s actions aren’t connected to his or her health care outcomes. For example, if this guy crashes his plane, he’s not held financially responsible for the cost of care; which could be millions. And if a homosexual contracts HIV, he’s not held responsible for the cost of care; which could be millions. This disconnect between personal conduct and the cost of care is deliberate. The elderly don’t want the cost of their care to ever be calculated, because they demand huge amounts of tax money. Trillions. So to hide the cost of care for themselves, they “scramble” the cost of care for everyone. It’s a mystery! An HMO usually assigns 80% of the budget to those under thirty years of age. Young people still have their lives ahead of them. The remaining 20% goes towards hospice, and low-cost medical procedures like dental work and nutritional counseling. No mystery.
