I’m really happy you’re a black traveler who gives our youth courage and bravery to want to travel the world. It’s not a lot of black youtubers out here who travels let alone revisit our roots. Thank you for showing the beauty of our continent and especially west Africa

@@leboyemichael4733 u r right bro except on one point "very soon we will be like western countries": they should not be our models! we should create our own, by watching back to our history and our ancestors and mix it with our own creativity to face with the challenges of our modern world! as expressed here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jrqChtt4qampkWQ.html this is no accident our history was erased bro, think about it...

Love how he was so informative at the beginning before the tour of the castle. A lot of people like to say that Africans sold each other into the slave trade and captured other slaves in war but their system was way different than Europeans. It’s so important to know that!

Imani Wig growing up in school I heard of a lot of Africans sold other Africans in the slave trade which kind of deflected and somewhat made it a way to not be mad at Europeans putting us into slavery. A lot of African tribes gave away prisoners from rival tribes. As stated in the video when others tribes captured prisoners they were able to gain freedom, marry and live among their captures if they chose to. Also the slave trade was very well known and also stated in the video other Africans did not gain money from giving prisoners to Europeans. They thought they were just taking them to work somewhere. Sadly The Europeans eventually started to kidnap africans and take over their land. They raped, beat, starved, worked them to death and gave them diseases. Google is your friend. Search deep. You’ll find a lot of information.

I really enjoyed the cape castle tour. It was so informative and really made me connect to my roots. I went to Africa last summer with my boyfriend for a month and he is african. My grandfather is obsessed with our lineage and was able to discover the boat that our ancestors got off from but that is the farthest we know about our heritage. I really did feel welcomed and people really treated me as family although i knew absolute nothing!!! It was empowering to be a part of the majority and see people of my color everyday all day.
