Following your passion isn't as easy as it looks and is NEVER as straight forward jaise ki BAAKI KZfaqrs batatein hain. "Follow you passion" bolna toh bada aasaan hai lekin implement karna kaafi complicated. Maine khud personally itne dikatein jheli hain apne passion ko follow karne mein. Bas "kal se mein workout karunga" kehna jaisa simple lag raha tha, utna tha nahi. Passion makes things easy and it super charges people with energy which is important for any goal achivement. But passion without direction maybe as dangerous as you holding the wrong end of sword. Good work brother 💪 Love your voice

No I disagree, the author Cal Newport explains why follow passon is a dangerous advice, and in the very first section and rule he tear down why that is so.... even if you have direction.... as passon monk could be an example from the book.

@@aayush_karna You have a valid point but Cal Newport is a high achiever in every sense and has had training n discipline which is unlike most common people. Passion will help rest of the people who procrastinate and don't have high degree of motivation to begin with.

Cal Newport is just trying to expand the Japanese concept of ikigai... Just presenting it differently to sell his book.. Reality is complex and chaotic and no one advice can become a rule to follow... Nevertheless the way the book was explained by the presentor was very good and in lucid manner.

Thank you for this video. I got to know the totally opposite point of view. This vision lays emphasis on doing something you might not like like all Indians are forced to take Science, Maths In 11th. This means all those people should continue to be engineers and then work towards a better life eventually. I believe totally opposite, the “top down approach” but with a realistic goal. If I need to be the best communications specialist in the world after Mr. Piyush Pandey, what should I do? I need to learn graphic designing, content writing, Website development, anchoring, video editing and then get experience in an agency to put my foot in the door then go for a brand manager role (my current life scenario) and then switch industries to work among all big brands and be known in the fraternity. Time spent is my experience and all that was built till now was from a top-down approach. Not to mention, i chose not to pursue engineering after 12th, did hotel management instead. But the path was rectified later when I had a goal. I believe one must look for monetisation of their passion.

Nishit Jadav....Read the book,he has explained it better with examples.... The so-called passion mindset is selfish as in,it is focused on how you feel and whether or not you love something.....!!...here you do things because they are pleasurable to you... In Craftsman mindset ,you don't bother whether the craft is pleasurable to you at first or not....your focus isn't on "what joy i can get from this craft",rather your focus is on "what value i can provide from mastering this craft".... This focus on delivering value makes you indifferent to the pains and discomfort that may arise when you work towards mastering your craft!....and hence is a better metric to create a fulfilling Work life!!...
