Someone told you wrong. She has ALWAYS been a singer. She acted some but only due to her singing. She grew up singing in church. Her genre is CCM, Contemporary Christian Music. She used to be coached by the man who was Michael Jackson's vocal coach,. so she has trained with the best. When she tried singing young, she said she was not very good, but she prayed to GOD to help make her a good singer, and she promised HIM to only sing songs that related to being a Christian. So now we have one of the best, and in my opinion, THE best female vocalist on earth. Yes she has acted, but she was a singer first.

She is a straight up gospel singer. She did a few musical pieces in her 20 plus years of singing career. She is a very faithful believer and she openly said that she would use her talent to convey the voice of God. I am not a believer but I think she is doing a fabulous job doing what she said.

Bri, Sohyang has done some musicals but her roots are in Gospel and Contemporary Christian Music and in that she performed almost in obscurity without a major production company behind her. I'd love to see her picked up here without the crap and make what she is worth. Lena Park and Ailee are home girls LA and NJ and had to go to Korea for a break. Hey America and Europe Asians can sing and Sohyang is one of the best in the world if not the best.

OH YEAH!!! GET DOWN SISTER!!!! She did one musical by the way and IDK why some one called her an actresss but she started out as a CCM singer but she needs to get a better manager than her father in law to be known world wide but she can't drop him cause she loves him too much!!! WHAT A SHAME....

I think she is controlled by her father in law or husband...out of guilt from not being able to bare a child...It's a Korean thing CONFUCIUS OR CHRISTIAN BELIEF MIXED TOGETHER

Nope it is a Christian thing and she is not confused she is thankful that she was healed from cancer so it is her decision, if it is her wish why criticize it, when she is ready to be famous or if she decides to do it then she'll do it.

Ahahaha!!! She is UNBELIEVABLE! Wait, no no no!! SoHyang is not an actress. She's a gospel singer. She turned down ALL offers to join any entertainment agency because she only wanted to sing for God. From what I've heard, even some of the biggest Korean entertainment agencies tried to get her. I'm so glad that she decided to share her gift with the world through shows like this one and many others.

I love all your videos Ms. Bree! :) A little more backstory on SoHyang - she is a cancer survivor who dedicated her life to singing for Jesus after He healed her. She became a humble gospel singer that only sings to glorify the Lord or raise money for charity and has declined superstardom and international record deals from major labels. She is an inspiration to many.

she is actually a GOSPEL SINGER / TV DRAMA ACTRESS . does a lot of tv music show soundtracks and very hard too beat in any singging comption such as I AM SINGER 2 / KING OF MASK SINGER... pls react too Where Are You (Engsub): vimeo.com/140289455 this song is one of her all time best she will make u cry and give u chills with this song as it prtrays os a really bad breal up or a death of a loved one ...

she did a full season on a K-DRAMA tv show called HORSE DOCTOR , its part of the OST collection so hyang played a nurse ... and wrote the theme song for that season OST PART 3 ... theirs a total of 8 seasons of OST ... theme song is called THE ONLY THING kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kL1kmrqT1dPHZ4E.html
