Yes, it is a separator, that she can sing anything, and with perfection. I love this song (old school) and love her version of it. I just do not believe there is another like So Hyang on the planet. She has more tools in her vocal toolbox than others, and she has athe gift of getting her message across. Thanks for the reaction!

Songs are subjective, so it's really impossible to determine if something is the best song. That's why you can only determine whether something is the best by looking at vocal technique. As an operatic student, Sohyang is the most technically complete vocalist I have seen, and her most difficult song to sing was "Everyone," so it can be argued that "Everyone" is objectively the most technically difficult song in the world.

@@yanki198 Lara Fabian is a very good singer, much more superior technically than the likes of Dimash and Morisette that the internet likes to try to pair with Sohyang. Dimash in particular is not a good vocalist even if you compare him to a normally trained opera singer as he tends to sing notes out of his throat while straining and losing resonance. Of course, Sohyang is in a class of her own by being able to sing notes with complete resonance, vibrato and fluid control of her entire range in an almost effortless manner, but Lara Fabian shows great resonance in her mid-belts. As for who is her closest vocal competition right now, it is hard to tell as her mixed voice allows her to be just so far in front of everyone else. Perhaps a few select opera singers, though they aren't able to match her yet.

One of the first to have a hit with this beautiful Jazz Classic was the Great,” Johnny Mathis “ , he was the Best in my opinion and the next Best was Sarah Vaughan That was at least till SoHyang took the title! All in any Art Form is subjective to the Individual ! The Two names I mentioned come very close but SoHyang is the Best for me! SoHyang communicates the message of the song better and part of that is the emotion she puts into every song and she is believable . Then you through in her God given talent and training , the way she looks after her voice , her Character and her musicality and instincts ! In my humble opinion she is one of the best Performers not only today but , EVER ! Thank You Guys for this Video! Ps You should have watched the video to the end! It has the other Performers sitting with her Talking about her Performance, in English subtitles ! These other Performers are all very talented but recognize her superior Ability and effort !

Yes but nobody had the succès Johnny Mathis had with this classic! Johnny Mathis was the first in a long line of performers to cover this song and it became one of his most famous hits. Peaking at #12 on the charts in 1959, his was also the most popular version. That same year, jazz great Sarah Vaughan earned a spot at #106. The song endured throughout the '60s with more charting hits from R&B singer Lloyd Price (#21), the Soul group Vibrations (#63) and jazz organist "Groove" Holmes (#44). Ray Stevens also recorded a popular Country version in 1975 (#14). Surprisingly, versions by Ella Fitzgerald in 1959 and Frank Sinatra in 1961 failed to chart.

Jazz pianist Erroll Louis Garner composed his standard "Misty" as an instrumental in 1954, and released a recording that year. Lyricist John Francis Burke added lyrics in 1955. Jazz vocalist Dakota Staton was the first to record the song in 1957. Many other singers have recorded the song since then: Sarah Lois Vaughan, 1958; John Royce "Johnny" Mathis, 1959; Ella Jane Fitzgerald, 1960; ... Sohyang sings "Misty" in the style of Fitzgerald. Her duet partner in "Flashlight" (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ormqlZmSlbbPgYk.html), 이수현 (Lee, Su-hyun), cries near the end of this performance.

We've absolutely nothing like SOHYANG or MORISSETTE in the industry, those rwo are lightyears ahead of the game, they might not not have the fame or the fortune which in my opinion doesn't really matter because they are both independent ARTISTS who would rather sing for the comfort of others than be self obsessed attention seeking egoistic divas which plague most of the industry and are definitely not as good as what they think they are, this is pure class with a capital C 🇬🇧👌🔥❤️.
