The melody is from a Latvian folk song. A very famous South Korean trout singer remade the song with a subject of unconditional love. SoHyang turned it into a R&B song. They said she personally made the beats.

We just witnessed So Hyang unleashed. Wow. There is a fan cam video that shows a lot of So Hyang during the dance part busting her own moves along with the dance troupe. Really cool if you can find it. I've looked and can't find it anymore.

Reactors all try to make sense of the song 😂 sorry to say that unless you’re a true blue Korean who’s lived through the harder times of recent Korean history, you’d not be able to appreciate not even 2% the song. You may like how she sings etc, but not what Sohyang was trying to do with bridging the past present and future of Korean culture and music. BTW, even a lot of Korean natives hate this interpretation. I think they’re shallow but that’s only my own opinion. I loved it! And not because i love Sohyang.

This song has nothing to do with the struggle of Korean people. The lyric is about love. The tune was borrowed from an European folk song. The melody sounds very foreign (western). The song Million Roses were remade in many different countries before a Korean artist remade it in the 1990s

@@CodyCha yep…Korea was a shit hole even in the 90s especially the culture. I know because i was in university back then.
