Always a favourite! A favourite because it defines , who she is for us to easily see! She is all about Loving , The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit! And Receiving the Love of the Almighty! From interviews with her we find her relationship with God is very much the same as that of a wise and patient Father and his Loving but somewhat demanding Daughter! She tells us that though she never wanted to be a Professional Singer, when she became one, her major goal was for her to become a Star in the American Music Industry! However just when she seemed to be starting to gain ground, something would happen to hold her back !! Well our you Korean Angel, said she would often go down into her private place in the Family home and Discuss the situation one on one with God! She says she was like a spoiled Child angrily challenging and questioning her God or Daddy as she put it! She didn’t understand when he told her he didn’t want her signing with a Record Company and she grudgingly turned down two big companies! In the last couple years she again was offered a big contract and she thought that after all she’d been through, surly this was her time !!! God this time asked her just to think if this is what she really wanted! She got angry as she wondered was God going to stop her again and tell her no !!! She though about her life, family, friends, finances/ professional status, everything!! She had been sick a lot but had lots of love from her Husband , Family , good friends, she was not rich but always had enough, was well respected amongst peers, had loving Fans! Was Close to God and was doing what she loved and believed she was helping those that suffered just as her idols had done for her when she went thru difficult times! Well this time she saw everything clearly! Before God saw that she was not ready and too much success earlier would have distorted who she wanted to be, took her away from Family Friends! She would be left with little time for her Church and Charity work! She wondered how her health would fair under a heavy schedule of promotion and Performances! Her Father-in-law( Dad) took great care not to over book her and ensure she would get enough rest! Lastly there was her Promise to God! Would she be able to meet those obligations to God?! This time it was her decision! Her decision was the same, and she politely turned down , Sony Records! She said she then set out to work on herself! She said she never realized she was more selfish and self centred then she wished to be! Her Love for God is infectious, her childlike love of life and bubbly personality draws us to her! I will never tire of her voice or her message of compassion and unity! So much more then a beautiful voice:-))

Whenever we seek consolation and reaffirmation, we come back to Sohyang.
