Hi, it would be great to hear if you will be doing the road ride on the zx10r? There aren’t many reviews out there on the road so it could really persuade me to get one one day

Accidents happen to even the best riders in the world so you can't be too harsh on yourself. It's good how kawasaki treated you afterwards and even a crash video can be good press when its just an accident.

I think it says a lot about Kawasaki that they were not only fine with you showing the crash but also not holding you to ransom over the repair bill. A side note it was really refreshing that you were so complimentary of the zx10r given how hard the rest of the motorcycle press dog on it. I'm sure that you and Kawasaki will enjoy a mutually fruitful relationship.

You could see you took a tiny bit more inside kerb as you were leaned in, as you say if up near the limit then all it takes fella, I don’t track bikes only cars so kudos to you Chopsy 👊

Here in Australia, if the frame gets scratched, the whole bike will be written off and can never be registered for road use. Bt, watching the crash in slow mo, it looks like you flicked the bike over BEFORE shifting your body weight to that side. When you subsequently moved your body while already at lean, the bike just tipped.

A very honest video reflecting on your crash. Really great that Kawasaki played it very graciously and took care, so far, of all costs. Letting you post the video was another strong move by Kawasaki. Glad you are OK despite a bruised pride. All good in the end. Nice one Chopsie.

Oops - what a tulip! ....and I'm with you on your reasons for not riding other peoples bikes. Anyway welcomne to the club - when I crashed the Zero DSR press bike a few years back I think it was the only demo bike in the country - that was an awkward conversation too.....got that T-Shirt! Great to see you out on the beast in lovely weather and lovely surroundings....must come and join you for a ride one day....

Kawa do put utter shite tyres on their bikes. My Z900RS has some PoS Dunlops on it, which went in the bin after 1000km of dodgy handling.

Dont beat yourself up about it, there have been press journalists who have taken the absolute piss with press bikes...aswell as some shitty characters who have dropped brand new bikes multiple times off forklifts unloading the lorries into the yard at KMUK and promptly moved on. KMUK staff are some of the best people you'll meet and have the pleasure of dealing with.

Don't panic mate, I accidentally wrote off a 0 mile MT10-SP on a test ride, at 15 mph on a roundabout that was covered in gravel! These things happen.

Kawasaki are my new favourite manufacturer. The bikes in their stable. They've kept the super sport class alive. They got supercharged. Even a screaming 400c 4. 👍

Its a "content creaters" worst knitemare. At the end of the day it's a motorbike and these things can easily Halden which they have to understand. They were really good in this situation and that's the way it should be. Its not like we're charging alot to help them is it. 😅 All turned out OK and your ok👍👌

Glad you're ok. Don't be so hard on yourself. I just had a track day with Penguin Racing School in New York and we had multiple people go down. You're in the safest place to go down (unlike racing in the street). Keep up the great work.

It happens to the best of us Chopsy! I got moved to the fast group on a two day course at Donington in 1999 and of course tried to do what the instructors said not to do, keep up with the faster guys, inevitably I high sided my new R6 at craner curves, a costly but well learned lesson.

I'm very sorry to learn about your accident mate. I was watching another of your videos earlier today and you mentioned in it how big and heavy you are and I remember thinking to myself that, at that size, it must have an effect on the bike's performance, both in a straight line and in the bends. So my take from this is that you should not be trying to compete with riders who are, almost certainly, much smaller than you because you will come a cropper. All the best.

You can't say the Bridgestone rs11's have no feeling. I bet your pressures weren't correct. Was they in warmers and did you check the pressures every coue of sessions whilst hot?

Just wondering why the electronics didn't catch the lowside, were the electronics switched off ? I know the electronics can't catch everything, but did think they would have cut in at some stage when the rear wheel loses grip 🤔

I'm glad that Kawasaki were okay with you, Chopsy. I totally agree that sinking feeling of having to tell the manufacturer you've broken their motorcycle isn't nice. I had a similar experience with a loan motorcycle from Triumph. Ended up dropping it. Hated the feeling. The Triumph dealership were very good, with the situation. I ended up paying the excess, but it wasn't a pleasurable experience. Thx for sharing your experience. G.

Felt your upset Chopsy ☹ I think you covered the likely causes, bit tired, not leaning off enough to reduce bike lean angle, tyres not providing feedback...plus were probably past their best after 2 days on track....sounded like the peg touched down hard, so you needed more support at the rear. Good on Kawasaki btw 👍🙂

I would have felt really bad too Chops, it just shows your a decent guy. Unfortunately it was a track day and these things happen your not the first and won’t be the last to drop a bike. When doing a track day isn’t the point to push yourself to improve your riding as an ex racer I’ve crashed so many times but always tried to learn something but it’s not always possible sometimes it just happens.

Good on you Chopsy, glad your ok . Honestly, not the bike’s fault. You could see in this latest video, a little aggressive with the throttle early and bam . Great tough lesson for us all . Don’t worry about Kawasaki, although I know you appreciate their support, they are a MASSIVE worldwide business that can afford a minor spill. They’ve got super bikes in every championship around the world being written off every single weekend of the year.. so worry not my friend to them it’s nothing and you have gained experience. I can understand respect for kawasaki and not showing the crash. Up to a point. You're one of the top Youtoober UK bike 'content creators', however. Kawasaki know this, or you would not have had that bike to jolly around the track. Simple as. Honesty trumps not showing a Kawasaki on the deck, in my opinion. Everytime. It wasn't the ZX10 to blame. It was you. Not because you're crap, but because it happens. Even to MotoGP riders. I recall Sue Perkins coming a cropper on a BMW S1000RR in Portamao a couple years back on a sportsbike shoot out. He didn't black the screen out. Crashes happen, especially on track days. I am sure Kawasaki UK can a) absorb the expense, b) have their own insurance for test bikes, and c) the unwashed masses crash on track days regularly. Its their views that pay your wages. Not any one manufacturer. You should have shown the crash, the immediate and after effects. Kawasaki would not have blacklisted you for showing the damage that your actions caused. At all. When you stop being 'honest' with the viewers, it's rarely a wise move. Food for thought, perhaps?

It about treating them with respect and appreciation, because i did that they also reciprocated. That BMW was covered by BeMoto on track so BMW didn't fit the bill for repairs, and I think it was only lightly damaged anyway.. How others conduct themselves is not my business anyway, I do what I believe is to be morally correct

Kawasaki are well aware of any risk involved, they will have their own public liability insurance to deal with such matters, track or no track. Move on.

Your a great ambassador for any manufacturer and shouldn’t beat yourself up over it , these things happen and that’s why they insured it , just keep up with the brilliant vids and the manufacturers will be knocking your door off its hinges to get you on board 👍
