The dancer was such a cool boss is DS3 even if it was annoying af that she could sometimes combo an attack over and over making it hard to time punish windows. But then you know they just made every boss in Elden ring do the same shit so I really miss the Dancer

Nah I think Dancer’s combos are still a lot harder to dodge than most of the bosses in ER. But you are right that the attacks seem endless sometimes in ER, and I think that’s honestly just because of improvements in the enemy AI, not really a difference in design philosophy. In ER, enemies don’t stand around and wait for you in between combos, they’re more aggressive and they input read a lot more. But there are very defined punish windows for most bosses, and attacks are generally slow and extremely telegraphed. Only notable exception is Malenia really, only a couple real opportunities for punishes and she just never stops the onslaught.

I think the challenge needs a way to upgrade weapons outside of random drops. The idea that he could eventually be near the end of the game and still only have a +1 or +2 is pretty brutal.

Aggy crashing the game, then doing the EXACT same thing and being surprised when it crashes again. Dude fought bridge midir, looked to the left, it crashed. Then he fought bridge midir again, and as soon as he turned left, it crashed. Who would've thunk.
