Other than ofcourse, "wooooooo new player experiences in tf2". The concept of uploading in bulk once a month seems incredibly interesting. It seems i might need to actually turn on the notif bell and it wont be annoying since its only gonna notif when its 'that' time of the month.

So sorry about the sniper bots, they are an annoying problem in this game at the moment :(

Sniper bots are the worst, but glad they all left and you got to have a real game. I know it's been months now but I'll still add some commentary here - Engineer is probably *the* most difficult class to play, while Pyro and Soldier are probably tied for easiest. Medic is good for beginners, but has an awkward skill ceiling and requires some specific situational awareness - but as long as you're healing the team most people will still thank you profusely for playing him anyway. Heavy is deceptively tricky to play, as you have to plan out where to deploy your mini-gun very carefully, but can be absolutely devastating even with just a little bit of practice. Sniper is hard only in that you have to learn to aim real good, and occasionally check that you aren't a Spy target. Spy is the second most difficult class to play and also the most fun. Don't bother with trick stabs until you've actually learned to play him. Demoman is actually a decent early player pick once you've figured out the game a bit. His explosive splash damage is very reliable and good at taking out big targets or the all-important sentry nests. Scout is a speedy little prick who is both very difficult to learn and very rarely useful on a team - but legends say if you meet a scout with a golden saxton hale gun, the only thing to do is bow down and accept defeat. And Pyro is mostly just exactly as you played him, except occasionally also hitting the right mouse button to blow projectiles and enemies away and un-ignite your allies.

Not a minute in and you are dancing with a sentry blueprint in the middle of a battle and bullets flying, that's tf2 for ya

As someone who's played for almost a decade with nearly 3k hours it's awesome to see new people try out and enjoy this game. The bots can be an annoyance but you can usually just requeue and you'll find an all human game, the bot problem used to be a lot worse. Good luck with learning the game, there's truly nothing else like it out there!

well i must admit going after someone who dosen't just have a australium weapon but a unusual, you managed yourself pretty good for basically the first match.

I'm still kinda new (1k hours) to TF2 and it's amazing to see new people get into a game I am quite passionate about. Seeing people having fun on a game older than 50% of its own playerbase is a great sight to see

I would suggest going through the settings and turn on "fast weapon switch" It makes you instantly switch weapons instead of showing what weapons you have and then having you press again to switch

Btw if you see other players hopping to things like the payload that you can't get to, try crouch jumping, because of source engine shenanigans if you press crouch and jump at the same time your jumps are a bit higher than pressing jump alone, the game never tells you about this but it's really important to know if you want to get to certain areas of a map

Veteran player, 3000 hours here: You did well for your first time. Sorry about the bots. Keep playing. It really does get better.

Some tips: you can use fov_desired 90 and viewmodel_fov 70 in the console (enabled in advanced settings and toggled with ‘) you can also enable minimized viewmodel in advanced settings. This greatly increases where you can see!

The way you playas pyro, I would reccomend using a weapon called the Axtinghusher and maybe the Degreaser

Bots are annoying and all but the real issue with them is deterring and confusing new players. I just wish something would be done about them because the game has so much potential that’s being suppressed by constant bot games.

I got TF2 a few days ago but I haven't entered a casual game yet because well I'm scared

if u see a sniper looking up in the sky then constantly spinning then thats a bot its a major issued since bots infested tf2 servers and spread and all bots are only sniper cuz bots dont use other characters as bots so as long as the bot snipers have clear line of sight from u even if its just a small gap from u then ur gonna die instantly ohh and one advice is that no one and i mean NO ONE can ever kill a bot NO ONE survives a bot so dont even think it , whenever i logged into a match and there is a bot then kick it but if there are more than 5 to 6 bots at the same time then just leave the match and leaving matches in tf2 dont ban u or give u penalty so leave whenever u want
