I opened a first edition Digimon card box and I'm pretty sure I got scammed...then I turned into The Joker for a little bit. After talking to all my friends in the card-collecting space; they all seem to agree that it was a resealed box but it could very well be factory error as well. Let me know what you think!

He bordered on going toxic there for a second, lol! But I understand and I'd be very pissed as well to be cheated out of cards after the amount he spent. I bought a Pokemon bundle this year and while I paid a bit more than I should've (Think it went for like $120 and I paid about $170. Not great but better than the $200+ everyone else was selling theirs for), my box thankfully was untouched and I got some decent Sword and Shield cards...of which I'm likely to do anything with, lol. But my heart broke for those in the reviews who weren't so lucky. This was on Amazon.

The good news is, since he filmed and recorded this all live, he has the video evidence to present a case in court if he decides to do that :) (it seems dumb but this sort of fraud is a genuine issue)

This won't go to court lmao. He said he spent $400, so there is not a chance it ever sees court. Asking your lawyer if you should go to court over it would cost more than $400. Hopefully he payed with paypal, and if he did, getting his money should be fairly easy as paypal almost always sides with buyers in disputes.

Kurtis is straight up one of the best creators out there imo. Totally kills the humor without tearing apart his viewers or anything. Digimon were originally little virtual pets and were inspired by tamagotchi. They were created the same year Pokemon got an anime (1997). Digimon started with a movie and was then greenlit for a series (both released in 1999).

The original digimon was like a tamagatchi. I think that was around before pokemon.

for clarification, the Digimon the tamagotchi device came out the same year the pokemon game came out in Japan so technically it's not a pokemon rip off. The cartoon came out after the pokemon cartoon but the idea and property basically came out the same year. Just saying because honestly they're very different imo and digimon wasn't as popular because everyone assumed it was a rip off.
