I consider this game to be really good DLC. Not a full game, but enough good stuff to scratch that itch. I think the 40 bucks price point was said. Waited to get this until it was like 20 and def got my money’s worth

I found the cutscene where they handcuff me really annoying, and had no sympathy for them whatsoever. They were just cruel and outright enjoyed it until the end.

@@stantoncree95 Being expected to sympathize with them was such a steaming pile of BS that Jerome killed the surviving sister while she was begging for her life. You heard that right: an assist character made the life/death decision for me. Was laughing too hard to feel offended.

One thing I never understand about post apocalypse games is. What happened to all the people who know carpentry? Why does every building have to look like someone duct taped random boards, and tarps together. Also played this, hated that they took gun customization out, and they did Rook dirty. Though I did like what they did with Seed, fleshed his character out a lot. I doubt Rook would have broken as much as they did in game. Considering the single minded one man army that every protagonist is.

I had a lot of fun with New Dawn, but the fact that it has infinite progression with no new game plus completely kills it for me. I played Farcry 5 many times because I love the game and I could progress pretty much indefinitely instead of having to delete my progress each time.

Bruh its the other way around. In 5 you cant replay anything but in new dawn you can replay outposts and are even encouraged to for free cosmetics and ethanol

@@uncleschubert8083 But it's the same couple of outposts and side missions over and over. Sure, the main story of New Dawn isn't the greatest, but that's where I feel like I'm having fun in the game. That's the only reason I replayed 5 so many times. That way I had an actual interesting use for all the guns and perks I unlocked through grinding, instead of just more of the same. Variety and replayability makes a huge difference.

@@uncleschubert8083 And yes you can lol, you can restart the entire story, which resets all missions, outposts, perk points and followers. You can re experience EVERYTHING, not just outposts and a few replayable side missions. You even get a special reward in 5 for replaying the game on an unlockable hard difficulty. Of course you can replay it.

@@dylie4303 restarting the game means restarting all of your progress - including unlocked vehicles, guns, perks, etc. That is NOWHERE near the same as being able to replay an outpost after completing it. And you make it sound like you cant replay new dawn either. I’m genuinely confused because it sounds like you’re advocating for 5 because of something both games do, only new dawn makes replay ability better. Sure, 5 has MORE to do, but that doesn’t really involve being able to progress in a game if it means resetting your progress

@@uncleschubert8083 I'm talking about new game plus dude. When you start new game plus on Farcry 5, you keep all of your money, unlocked items and perks, it just resets the world. Maybe you should open 5 and actually try it out. It's not an entirely new game. New game plus literally just takes your currently progressed character and puts them in a new game state. So if you have all outfits and guns unlocked, you'll still have them when you exit Dutch's bunker at the start of the story. Same with perks. New Dawn doesn't have that, it has SOME replayability options, but not new game plus where you get to restart the story and side quests and keep your progress.

The game was pretty good, I mean it takes the Post Apocalypse in a far preferable direction compared to fallout. I like the wacky eden abilites and how it was actually relevant to the story and was used in cutscenes. I disliked how static the guns were, I disliked how their was no longer attachments, I disliked how the map was reused to a extent, I disliked how companions were handled, I hated enemy health bars.

@@gamemaster1608 It's called super bloom, there's an interview around somewhere where the designers explain how they based it on a real world event in Morroco I think. Besides, we don't know what will actually happen after nuclear war and games don't need to be realistic. I personally find Fallouts wasteland kinda boring even though I adore the games.

Weird detail but that crossbow suffers from the mirrored weapon syndrome like in Counter-strike. The handlebar with the red button would be on the right side of a motorbike, but it's modelled like it's an actual left handlebar.

I remember when I first heard about New Dawn. I was so hyped about how great of a DLC it looked for Far Cry 5 to expand upon its ending with your FC5 character. As soon as I heard it was another yearly cycled game I never thought about the game again.

It's really good. I love running around with homegirl because of her vocals in firefights. I think people review the games based off of prior games instead of just having fun with a new farcry. Besides, if your like me and have a killer GPU you can run this game with stunning graphics.

I found out you can upgrade the guns infinitely (at least I never found a cap) ended up making a Deagle that one hit killed everything. Very good experience

It needed better writing and more content but otherwise I really think it was a good game. It probably could have been as good as 5, 4 or 3 if they put more effort into it instead of making it a basically dlc sized game.
