Bad move on the Devs part to give Asmon a key. I like Asmon but he's possibly the worst streamer to give a preview of your game to. He won't engage with 90% of mechanics, won't read any tutorials and then complain that you can't face tank your way through the entire game. Do yourselves a favour and watch a competent player before you write this game off.

I'm pretty sure that the developers said that they wanted to improve Ranged Combat in this game compared to the general soulslike style, with better controls and weaponry going for it. That's the reason that every starting class with the exception of the deprived start with a ranged option like javelins, bows, crossbows, magic etc. So yeah, the abundance of casters to deal with in some areas are to make you use your ranged options, I think. And the backstab is like bloodborne. Anyway, I'm just watching his conclusion. Trying to not spoil too much for myself. And as everyone knows, Asmon tactics and stubborness can be frustrating to viewers LMAO. EDIT: i forgot that the deprived have rocks to throw.

Reminds me a little on Soul Reaver where you shift between material realm and spectral realm and if you die you revive in spectral realm and must gain physical form to be able to shift back to material realm.

I keep telling people and I keep seeing streamers NOT DO IT… condemned is by far the best class. You assume that the buckets are shit cause they’re literally broken shit buckets, but they actually do great damage, attack very fast, and inflict poison status effect cause you’re hitting them with shit. By the time asmon(and fightin cowboy) hit pilgrims perch, I was already far out damaging both of them. It’s like the devs punish you for being scared to not have a big sword, so anybody who took a chance on starting with a bucket, got a really nice surprise when it turns out they’re great! I didn’t need to change out for a better weapon til like 2 regions into the game!

It seems that the difference of the difficulty between Lies of P and Lords of the Fallen is very similar to difference between DS1 and DS3. Lies of P has harder bosses and easier areas much like DS3 LOTF has harder areas and easier bosses much like DS1.

I like seeing Asmon playing games because I know he's too stupid to read the tips and keeps dying or generating funny videos with his incompetence in solving puzzles, I won't deny Asmon is a great player and a great streamer but a horrible reviwer, if the game It doesn't work with his style of gameplay he begins talk badly about the game. But is good to watch his stream to learn how no to play like him😂.

it's always crazy to me to see people just run through mobs in these games and then get either surrounded or slowly picked off trying to run through. I almost thought this was the Lords of The Fallen I played years ago, but it appears this is something new with the exact same name.

Sekiro, one of my top 3 favorite games of all time, has tons of delayed attacks followed up by swing that happen on the blink of an eye and tons of misdirects from bosses and enemies. They only seem easy to read now because people have beaten the game so many times now. Lots of criticism being leveraged against Lies of P that is not being placed onto other souls games.

4:00:24 "I don't like puzzles in games like this" I'm the exact opposite on this. There's more to these games than bosses and I love a good navigation challenge. Souls combat is basically more indepth Zelda combat. As a huge fan of that series too I like seeing them draw upon Zelda's puzzle aspect as well. The Axiom/Umbra realms remind me of switching between Hyrule and the Dark World in ALTTP

Finally time has come!! I will play this game next week. I'm even considering buying collectors edition but not sure yet. I would definitely buy if there was also collectors edition for PC but I don't use any console.

What I hate about the way Asmongold plays is that he rushes everything and expects to defeat every boss on the first attempt. Why not accept that you need to adapt to the boss's attacks and then strike once you have an opportunity?

Saw the advertisement for this & got mad cause this has been thrown in my so much to the point where I didn't bother watching the trailer. Then I go to KZfaq & see Asmond's post "4 hours ago." I had just subscribed to Asmond about two weeks ago & have been unhealthy binging a bunch of his vids. Now because of that I'm absolutely hooked. I want this game. Thank you Asmond for all you do. The fact that you pretty much have to use the lantern off and on in every area to not miss anything is kind of rough. I guess we will get used to it, I wish they would of given early access to anyone that Preorded and not just streamers XD I wanna play too it looks fun.

what could work for big bosses is animation specific fights lets say they have a big ass club and the boss is massive u make it so the character does animations for that specific attack than u could get away with much better and bigger fights that make u feel super cool
