This was one of the last good split screen co-op

The black bars in co op was a bit much. Cutscenes are fine, but why not show more in co op?

Drinking several energy drinks at my age sounds like a bad time. I am not a fan of the taste of energy drinks to begin with. All the rest of that sounds great. I remember this one service you would get through your phone line called Sega Channel. You would get 30 random games a month. Every month the list would change. I remember staying up at the end of each month just so I could see what games were new for that month and play a few of them.

6 was schizophrenic and didnt know what it wanted to be. 5 failed the horror atmosphere test. Some attempt was made and it wouldnt take too much more to get it there. RE5 passed the fun game test even as single player. I can't say that for RE6. It was fun for parts of it but not fun and even horrible at others.

​@@wolokowoh0funny thing is that RE 6 became RE 4.5 the more adrenaline version of the early RE 5.

I loved 5 when it came out a lot. As time goes on, I enjoy it less and less. Definitely a product of its time.

@@filipmartinez1162 I hate motion blur in games. I think they used it to mask a lower FPS or thought it was more realistic or something. I turn motion blur off in PS5 games.

@@ISEESPACEMONKEYS00 same with 4, since the ots camera and third person shooters have got so much better since the tank controls feel so clunky now.

I was not renting games anymore in the Xbox 360 generation. Game rentals for me was Nes, Sega, Snes, PS1, and PS2. Game rentals that is a good experience.

That’s a good you made about chapter selection, which is a wonderful thing and frankly more RE games should have had it. For example when I play OG RE3 I absolutely hate the music box and water puzzles, if I could use chapter select to avoid those things.

I feel like I should blame RE 4 for what the series became.

I would consider the china town meat monsters in re6 way scarier than anything in RE4.

Yeah he said at the beginning Sheva was an afterthought but imo she was a great character who helped Chris trust himself with a partner again after Jill's disappearance. She was a cool character imo.

there was times where the a.i controlled shiv was useless saying i'm out of ammo or using pistol when she has machine gun with lot's of ammo lol i'm playing on ps4 on solo rouge mode, it would be intresting to see what happens if i set it to 'no limit' and see if a random player would drop in.

Jakes story was horrendous so yes that is where some of my hate comes from for the game. Chris's was pure action. Leon's had horror but its ruined by the action parts so you never keep the atmosphere. Adas was the best to me but originally you had to play the other three first and I was already getting tired of the game mechanically by that point. And the QTES are horrible. They got worse with each game from RE4 forward. The motorcycle part. There are just so many terrible parts in between the good. And the good isn't that good because you are using the same gameplay to play a game where mainly run away or have superpowers and own everything, or slaughter hundreds as a action hero gunman, or play a horror game where youre wanting to be scared because of the lighting, music, and atmosphere but can't because there's a random dumb QTE or something that ruins the mood, or go around solving puzzles with some action in there. It was four different games with the same gameplay mechanics and the mechanics were never utilized well for any of the four games. A good example is the enemies behave the same when you fighting as Chris or Leon despite one supposed to be more horror and one supposed to pure action. If they made one game where they just stuck to something, refined it, and were confident about it, the game would have been great. Leon's but better would been great. Adas campaign with a much better plotline and bosses would been great. All the pieces are there, they just needed to cut off the bad parts. Unfortunately the bad parts make up too high a percentage of the game. Jakes story. Thats a quarter of the game right there that is mostly not good. That isnt to say there was nothing there, but just that the good isnt worth suffering through the bad to get to.
