As someone who..still..primarily drives a jeep patriot. I can confirm that's exactly how it feels to drive that vehicle. It even came with its own smg to get the real far cry vengeance immersion.

The part where you had to protect Kate in that open area is about where I gave up on this game. Kevin made it further than I did. This game was so bad I hated it.

I remember my first COD game was Call of Duty 3 on the Wii. In retrospect, that was actually a really good game. Kinda hard to control though. I kept dying from overcooking grenades because the controls for throwing them were so buggy.

I love how this literally FarCry Instincts. The port is definitely strong with this one. I had no idea this game got so many ports XD It's still my favorite FarCry game, by far.

This game certainly looks... rough, but it also looks entertaining if your wonderful video showcase here (and the brilliant game dialogue) is anything to go by. The video was cut up nicely, jokes were aplenty and your reaction at 8:25 was just stellar.

I was like 12 when I got this game and my very own Wii in mid-2009. All I remember is getting frustrated, quitting, and going back to playing House of the Dead Overkill. Fun times.

From a design perspective the wii was very very ahead of its time an pioneered the vr experience into reality the wii was the best thing to ever happen i made people realize how fun games could be without having to be competitive games were actually fun back then now its just tailored to people who play for a living and have no lives but games

From what I remember this is the continuation of Far Cry Instincts, but Instincts was only released on the Xbox and Vengeance only for the Wii. So... Uh... Yeah, nothing makes sense unless you've owned a PC to play Far Cry 1, an Xbox to play Instincts and then a Wii to play this.

Actually the Instinct game was a different version ofbthe original. This game was on the xbox first as FC: Instincts - Evolution. It was also released with the first game on the 360 as FC: Instincts - Predator

I love games now, but I grew up in a tech free home that is until my dad brought home the Nintendo Wii and I was so excited to finally get to experience all the fun things my friends always talked about, but unfortunately it was the Wii lol I think it might have been a ploy to turn me off video games forever 😂

I used to play cod waw on the wii so much as a kid. None of the glitches were patched so you can glitch outside the map on most maps. I loved playing that cod.

I remember this game. I played the "normal" version that went by farcry instincs predator. Great game. Terrible voice lines but it was so bad it's funny kinda voice lines.

Well this was interesting. I remember that the reviews for this game here in France were absymal so back in the day I didnt even bother to take a look at the gameplay. But i must admit its looks kinda better than I expected. I think it could have been an okay game if it was on rails à la House of the Dead, or if it simply had better controls. Anyway you made it look fun with your commentary!

I haven't watched the video yet but I immediately want to put here that I loved this game and have fond memories of it. Now to watch the video and see if it ruins what I thought was a good game or reinforces my love for it. I will edit in my answer: Edit: Moving further away from the screen would probably help with the controls, It looks like you're sitting less than a foot away from the screen. Edit 2: Ok the game isn't as amazing as I remember it but I don't remember struggling with the controls this much, and I love the idea of having powers in first person... So I haven't lost much faith in it. I should buy a Wii and play this again.

So this is a port of an Xbox original exclusive Far Cry. Called "Far Cry Instincts: Evolution" which is a sequel. This is a bizarre game and I love that.

It's not so much a wii exclusive as it's a port of the Xbox expansion to the Xbox "remake" of Far Cry 1. Strangely it does have altered story elements.

@@TheReZisTLust altered as in they removed some cutscenes and changed some NPC skins. The most significant changes are stuff like the opening as in the Xbox copy you aren't arrested. It's definitely a port just with altered segments but it's basically PS2 splinter Cell vs Splinter Cell PC. Basically same stuff but altered to fit the system.

Playing this as a kid fucked my wrists up, no other Wii game had the effect that this game did, and I played RE4 to death. I don't know if was because of how you had to hold the wii-remotes but it's 16 years later and I still have trouble with my wrists. Not only was the game a pain in the arse but it makes RL a pain in the arse too.
