Is it a split ender or a hair trimmer ? Before using this did your hair had split ends ? I saw many videos of this and this device seems nice for trimming hair at home specially when you wanted to grow your hair length. And for those who have split ends as well . But I feel every time you used this on one strand of hair it’s going to trim 1/4 “ every time , is it ? . You said this says to use 3 times so does this trim 1/4 inch every time?

Another (free) technique is to twist a section of hair and cut off all the small ends sticking out and/or bend said section around your finger while sliding down and do the same. Love how this product works on all hair types. Thank you for braving into the unknown! Cheers from Denmark

Hair stylists get scissor happy, and then some have the bad hand so when they cut your hair it doesn’t end up growing back at a good rate it takes forever and years instead of it being healthy and growing back after getting a trim it happened to me and now finally my hair is growing back because I went to a different stylist and now that’s the ONLY one I trust

I can see myself using this in conjunction with regular scissors. This machine is good for those split ends and knots that are not necessarily at the bottom of the hair. Also it’s ideal for uneven hair. The scissors could then be used to shape the hair. Thanks for the review.

Thank you for this video! I’ve been wondering about this product for a while. I foster a lot of children, a lot of them are AA with gorgeous natural hair. I absolutely love watching videos like this so that I can learn more about AA hair care so that I can better take care of the little lovelies that come stay with me while their parents get their lives back on track. Sure, I can take them to a salon to have their hair done BUT at the same time, if I can learn how to do it for them, it creates a bond. It shows them that I actually love them and care about them. Nothing is more important to me than that. Showing a child that they ARE lovable and to build their confidence and self esteem so they truly know how beautiful they are to little girls that may not have been shown that for their whole life is the reason I do why I do. Again, thank you so much for this. I’m going to go order this right now so that I have it on hand. By the way, you’re absolutely STUNNING!

I love that it gets splits throughout the hair and not just the very ends of the longest pieces. But I saw on Amazon reviews that it actually gave a lot of people more split ends and that the blades were not sharp enough and made super straight hair look choppy.

Theres a little razor that spins in the top and theres 2 combs and a peak on the bottom piece. When your hair passes over the peak in between the 2 combs your split ends poke up and get cut off by the razor. The hair shaft bends over the peak while the split ends stick up, that's why it doesn't cut all the hair off just anything that goes close to the razor.

I had the original Split Ender about 7 or 8 years ago, and then I got the Split Ender Pro when it first released some years ago. A lot of naturals on KZfaq have done tutorials on it even longer back then before I had it. It’s the truth which is why it’s been around for so long. It’s based on a technique some professional stylist use when you have split ends of different lengths through out your head, by pinch the hair between the fingers and sliding it down the length of the hair while trimming the hairs sticking out.

Interesting Amber, if you recall I'm the retired stylist in the US, but girl...you keep showing products I NEVER heard of before. You are so up to date...wow...I'm amazed with all of these gadgets you have...(hope you took my advice about the multi-tray roller cart to get all of you stuff in)....looks like you need it. I'll keep watching you do your thing sweetie.....

@@savannahscobie2547 As a Belgian person I can affirm that the accent is totally legit. The less effort you put in to have a more standard English or American accent, the more you produce the kind of sounds you're used to in your native language. (That could be why it gets thicker towards the end.)

It would have been interesting to use it again after allegedly having “fixed” all your split ends to see if it cut anything else that second time. I mean it shouldn’t right?
