There are many versions of the 910 but this is the ME V2, which we saw the final run of just months ago via Monokei Raffle. If you were lucky enough to win, one of these may have arrived at your door this summer!
It's really great but not perfect.. The case has some slight hollowness but in most cases (depending on the switches and mounting style you go for) this might be a non-issue. It doesn't "need" forcebreak mod or tape but I will tell you from the many configs I tried, it does improve with a little bit of modding. So strap yourself in and check out how this one turned out!

Totally agree. After this build I tried to replicate a similar sound profile on my Tomo. I never won a raffle lol i'm not very lucky but I may acquire one for a personal build in the near future. The 910 seems like a good one for clack, but definitely a tad bit brighter sound than I'd like

Thanks! Yeah i've been really liking mixing accent (gmk child kits) in a super minimal way like this lately. but you're right, it can really depend on the board and the aesthetics

I do love me some clack. Ever try any of the owlabs stuff? I wonder why they dont sell them but the QK03 kit, i.e. switches + caps as options at time of keeb purchase, were some of the nicest clacky switches ive tried

Hahaha, its actually not really a desk : ) its a husky workbench on wheels! I bought a table top from ikea and slapped that on!

Yes, i've been slowly moving away from the deep sound signatures but I also don't like it when theres too much clack. This build seems just about the right amount : ) What clacky board do you use?

@@TW2LV2 It's all based on preference, I myself just like clacky, and not dogging on thocky lol. I only built 1 Custom, It's a Tokyo60 with cjs and 21kb. Would like to build more as this keyboard is waaay too flawed.

I haven't gotten try one for myself but from what I have heard in sound tests from others, I would say I prefer the 910. If you already have a 910 tho, I'd say give forever65 a shot! It's a diff taste : )

any foam/tape mod? also what plate material?

So there are two configs, read the description : ) yes I put foam/tape but the more important mod is forcebreak. 910 has some hollowness and this mod takes care of it. To do this, cut thin pieces of tape and place them around the perimeter of the bottom case and leave the top bare, as to not introduce a muted sound to the num row. See video @ 03:01.
