I really hope the Celtics don't have any injuries this year. Last year, they had Brogdon and Rob Will practically useless in their deep run, and Tatum even got hurt in the first play of Game 7. If they have no injuries, they play up to their potential, and they can clinch the win against the West contender, that will truly be a great achievement for the organization who decided to stick with the Jays instead of breaking them up.

So far, there is no evidence that the Celtics have moved away from their poor habits from the past five years: poor shot selection, too many threes taken, failure to play organized basketball during the most crucial parts of a game, sporadic ball movement, and playing consistent team and individual defense when the shots are not falling. Instead, their strategy is to double down on their flawed style of basketball. They kept Joe Mazzulla, who might as well change his name to Brad Stevens Junior. And they improved the talent level of their main rotation, hoping to outgun their opponents. Even with these telent improvements, if they don't change the style of basketball, for which there is little evidence that they are trying, I am not sure they can win the East. My money is on the defense first teams, the Heat and the Knicks.

But the celtics are an awesome defensive team as well ! The addition of Porzingis also allows them to be more versatile on offense, since he can post up and break up zone defenses. In my opinion we are not looking at the same flawed team anymore, they're significantly better then in the last few years...
