"Acquires his jetpack" you mean re-acquires, its not like a big moment when he gets a jetpack, he just lost it in the opening cutscene and gets it back halfway through the first mission

I played this on the gamecube. I still have the physical copy I have had since 2003-2004 ish. I beat that game so many times. The open world feel it had was so awesome. It’s the game that made me LOVE Jango Fett & Mandilorians of Starwars.

I played it on gamecube back in the day. Jetpack was mapped to the right trigger and you could throttle it etc instead of on a button it being full blast you could lightly press it to lower yourself in flight or fully for upwards lift etc.

Aspyr definitely didn’t anticipate how many would do the multiplayer in Battlefront Classic Collection. They should have made sure servers were ready.

Beat this game back on my GameCube way back when. Loved it and I plan on beating it again. One of the few Star wars games that has some neat cinematic scenes that ties the jango fett story well. Can’t wait…

The Gamecube controls were pretty good. Playing the PS4 port with the PlayStation controls was terrifying, I see why people want an update

While I was iffy on the controls, I really enjoyed the story and the writing of Bounty Hunter. The game even had a cool menu theme.

I know nothing about this remaster but I absolutely loved the original when it first came out and I replayed it multiple times-an absolute classic game with a beautiful and original story which completely captured the Star Wars spirit. I hated the controls and camera but that was part of it’s character. Looking forward to getting this for the newer consoles🍻🔥

It's clear they hate money. All they have to do is remake all the games we loved playing growing up and they would make so much money. Don't fundamentally change anything, just redesign in a modern engine with modern graphics, make some quality of life updates, and thats it. It's not rocket science. All the Jedi Knight games with my favorite, Academy, throw in Republic Commando, etc... theres so many game that if they just made modern versions of would sell like crazy.

The entire Katarn saga has been re-released... ... Except for Dark Forces 2 :Jedi Knight and Mysteries of the Sith. Those should be a major priority IMO.

As a guy who has almost every Star Wars game on Steam, ofc I'll get it!

I wish they would straight up remake this game, because it had alot of interesting level design concepts. What im about to say is probably because I just tried horizon zero dawn for the first time and it‘s giving me ideas: I feel like they could do a lot with the SWBH as a hardcore shooter where you need to use the jetpack skillfully to outflank your enemies and take advantage of cover at different heights. It’s definitely the sort of game that would need an aggressive, challenging enemy AI and very good controls in order to be fun, but if they nailed that it could turn out great. Now that I think of it, that kind of reminds me of the canceled game 1313 (though tbh I doubt the mechanics would have been that great.)

I've never got the chance to play Bounty Hunter, so i'm gonna keep my hopes up when it releases, but also be kinda on the worrying side because it's from Aspyr, let us all remember the disaster of a launch it was the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection.

Loved it when I came out originally and I finished it, the fact it's a single player at least it won't be as bugged as BFC was

@Bombastic , I love how they’re remaking this game. I’ve been waiting for this for so long . I beat the game originally on the PS2 and I’m just saying for all the fans out there you should finish bounty Hunter, those videos you were doing. Top tier

So they changed the fire button from square to the trigger along with better textures and ps5 controller specific additions which essentially amount to nothing. I wouldn't say its pretty different. Dislike the trigger change with adaptive triggers specifically. Its cool in slower games when you don't shoot as much but a lot can get painful/result is worse gameplay. Anyone who has played the og well knows its mainly a button masher. Mashing square to squeeze off bolts while evading enemy fire is a lot easier on square than the trigger which gets even harder if they implement haptic feedback. It'd need a ground up remake to make triggers the better option which would have to make it more of a modern shooter than what it actually is in practice. What could be neat is implementing both triggers like the og arc troopers in EA/BF2.

I'm definitely going to keep an eye on Star Wars Bounty Hunter remaster, it looks to be a massive improvement over the original with the modern control scheme and the new unlockable to play as Boba Fett which was planned in the original release but never came to be, if Aspyr doesn't screw this up it could bring in more fans to this niche Star Wars title.

If companies are going to do a remake or remaster of a game, they ought to do it like Capcom are with resident evil. Better graphics, new and/or improved features, filling in any plot-holes, etc... Basically, make it feel mechanically and graphically like it came out today, instead of back then whilst keeping the story the same/ tweaking what didn't work out right.

I legit do not understand why people think this game is so difficult . I was 12 and beat this game multiple times , got every bounty . . All you have to do is BLAST BLAST BLAST and not stop blasting . . It’s not Elden ring folks .

they released that “Legacy Collection” with a bunch of old _Star Wars_ games, like _KOTOR,_ _Force Unleashed, Racer,_ and _Republic Commando…_ wish this game was in the collection, and _Battlefront,_ and that it didn’t suck 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm really tired of people complaining when a REMASTER gets upgrades that weren't in the game before. It's a REMASTER not a REMAKE. Learn the difference people. And you don't like the control enhancements like sound and health bar? SWITCH IT OFF.

I’m so glad the controls are being modernized. I used to play the PS2 version all the time.

I remember seeing portions of this while watching my friends play it. I’ve played it a little bit, but I couldn’t really immerse into it mostly because of the controls. I will consider trying this rerelease though!😊

I’m excited to play this game

This is the first game I ever played on console. I would play it sitting in my father’s lap and focus on shooting while he did the movement. When I started playing by myself, the controls never bothered me. Wish 1313 had finished, would’ve felt like a spiritual sequel. I wonder how the new controls work, and if they offer a “classic mode”. I’m kinda used to them now.

I think they've added flashlight, cause dynamic lighting makes some places much darker than originally

I beat the original and I beat the PS4 release and I enjoy both. The ps4 version works fine on both ps4 and ps5 and it looks fine as well. The Square shoot button may feel odd at first but when you realize the faster you press it the faster you shoot it makes more sense being there than the triggers since I wouldn't want to mess up by flicking them a million times. The only real big improvement gameplay wise I would want and I doubt they will do this is to make capturing bounties less clunky. Since you have to guess if they are around since your friend saying theres one in the level is not helpful. then you have scan everyone slowly then switch to the rope to capture them all while being shot by a million enemies. Also they need to make camera movement a little slower as its pretty slippery here. I wouldn't mind them getting rid of the lives system as well.

Same here. I played it a few times, but I've never completed the full game. The last time I fully dedicated myself was on the gamecube, but there was one little tiny scratch, and it wouldn't let me pass one of the levels cuz it would freeze on a cutscene. Hey, maybe this is my chance to. lol

The speaker on the controller can be used to great effect, if done right. Games like RE4 remake and The Callisto Protocol are great examples.

Will this remaster make the game canon? Cause if not then I don’t see the point, either way I’m gonna add it to my head canon if it fits.

I finished replaying Bounty Hunter on my old PS2 literally A DAY before Aspyr dropped the trailer for the remaster. It's a solid 7/10 game with some serious design flaws, but an overall enjoyable experience.

This was one of my first ps2 games. It was ridiculously hard especially that base escape sequence. You're gonna put the player on the clock with these controls!?

Aspyr lied about Kotor 2. Forget them.

What do you mean "Feels like a cash grab." It is a cash grab. Disney is taking games that are no longer apart of the Star Wars cannon and launching them with the minimum amount of work to justify a re-release. Instead of investing in new titles or other projects like the KOTOR remake that was announced forever ago.
