Five days ago, the prequel was released.

One thing I'd like to note, the King's son didn't kill Herobrine for his dad's sake, he killed Herobrine in a quest for revenge after the giant Zombie Piglin killed the Villager that raised him, because he believed that Herobrine was the one who sent the Piglins to the Village he was in.

Isn't this the staff he uses in the last video to beguile the ender dragon? The power to beguile mobs as a basis of power for building a kingdom is actually kind of solid. So the king breaks into Herobrine's castle and steals artifacts for no apparent purpose? Sounds like normal monarch behaviour to be honest. (Though, one could conclude he used the staff to enthrall creatures and people to build his kingdom in record time. That might be a bit dark.)
@darkelysium2187
@darkelysium2187 Жыл бұрын
Herobrine probably had a secondary goal in mind when he destroyed the King's kingdom. Obvious one is revenge but the king had shut down the End portal under his kingdom which Herobrine seem keen on finding, only to find it's closed off and can't get to the ender dragon. Since Herobrine originally had the scepter, he probably planned on using it to tame the ender dragon.
@PersonCuber

I think the reason the floor in the castle is different is because herobrine has a tendency to rip his floor to shreds, as we saw in the second one. He literally doesn’t even check who comes to his place, he goes straight on the offensive and tears his castle apart right from the start. Floors probably didn’t last long here :P

Kinda felt like you just made inflammatory remarks there so people would comment to get engagement but here I am so I guess it worked. First of all, nitpicking "that's not how MC worked" is just.. stupid lmao there's no point. If you were doing an actual video comparison on how accurate it is cinemasins style, you would have gotten all of them, but you didn't, so really all you wanted to do was complain about things that are there for cinematic effect. Then you somehow come to the conclusion that this "ruins" the rest of the story which like... do you know how stories work lmfaoo My guy, before this video, all we knew is that herobrine showed up and fucked everything up for no reason. This gives our villain a motive and our hero a more complicated backstory. Also, "he's griefing why would he steal from other players".. bro. This isn't a server lmfao, this is a *story*. Imagine it like a D&D game instead, an adventurer hears about a legendary relic inside a dangerous abandoned castle. Herobrine doesn't even appear in this one, presumably because he's more myth than man to anyone alive, even by Take Back the Night he only ever stays in his castle and word gets around by historical scrolls. I refuse to believe you actually think your tv comparison is worth the time of day to think about either, that's bs. Showed up bc Pix is great and even here, he tempered his critique to something that made sense, cannot believe the garbage I heard coming from you though. I really like Recap and your writing there but this.. just disappointing. I hope you improve to the point that you don't need to degrade something unnecessarily for engagement, wish you luck with that.
@alexblackfire8327
@alexblackfire8327 Жыл бұрын
You must consider that the King knows way more about herobrine than the viewers do. We don't know what any of his scrolls say, nor do we know what goes on outside of what we're shown. Remember, the King's son in Take Back the Night obviously had to have read something that implies Herobrine is a nasty dude that brings upon all these hostile mobs against innocent lives. He was taking revenge FOR HIS MENTOR (wise villager), who, if you don't remember, was smashed and killed by a massive mace next to a nether portal by a pigmen. Those scrolls are ANCIENT; there is no way those scrolls could have been written after the Kingdom had fallen. As far as we're concerned, Herobrine could be preparing a catastrophic army, with a strong connection to the pigmen (hence the particularly odd pigmen chambers which suggest this) that will reduce all good in the world to atoms if not stopped. Perhaps, the King realized this and wanted the staff, not for his own power, but so that the true enemy wouldn't wield the immense power of controlling every being. I believe this is why he stashed away his "stolen" staff in the End. He wanted no chance of that staff getting into the wrong hands, and I don't see how you can pin the King as the bad guy unless you strictly see him use it for evil. And in case you still believe the King is the villain, You seem to need to remember that in Find the Pieces, the pigmen unleash a literal Wither out to destroy an entire city, a completely innocent and uninvolved city. They had been planning a long time ago to take over, and since they could not retrieve their staff from the fallen kingdom, they devised a different plan to take advantage of the nether star's power. Had the hero not been there, they likely would've lost most if not all of their army to destroy the wither and then for the pigmen to take the spoils of the kill. Also, in Dragonhearted, the pigmen are literally burning forests down for no reason. If they want to get back at the King, there's no reason to destroy entire ecosystems just for revenge. I know I basically just wrote an entire essay for you, lol, but I've always been super passionate about the series, and it breaks my heart to see you guys believe the King is actually a villain lol.
@SloyXP
@SloyXP Жыл бұрын
There's just as much evidence to Herobrine saving a cat off a tree in the prequel video as to him having plans of doing any bad things, which is to say: none. We can presume that in a minecraft video Herobrine would be a bad guy, but that's our experiences with wider canon, not with the canon of this video. The authors of the video COULD HAVE included something about him being evil in the video before our "hero" breaks into his home and steals his things, but they did not. You are trying to justify doing a crime against a person by that person being maybe evil some time in the future, and that's simply not moral.
@alexblackfire8327
@alexblackfire8327 Жыл бұрын
@@SloyXP The entire point of the King raiding Herobrine's base is he found a scroll indicating Herobrine has malicious plans with his staff, implying it is in the wrong hands. It should be safe to assume that Herobrine indeed has malicious plans because of course, the King's own son finds similar scrolls in Take Back the Night. Mind you, his son should have no idea Herobrine exists, but past history all points to Herobrine being the cause of all that is evil. So tell me again how this isn't a justified raid?

@@SloyXP If we didn't have the sequels I could possibly see your point. However, that's not the case. Your point in the video states that you believe every video released turns the good guys into the bad guys, so I can see you obviously are not discounting what happens after the fact. And wow, whatddya know, he is a bad guy! Who could've thought. It's almost as if all the ancient history during that time implied as such. By all means, convince yourself the King is a bad dude. I know people get an ego boost when they feel different from the popular opinion. But your evidence of the King being a villain is zero. None. It's never cool to bash on creators who spend months writing a creative story telling them they did a poor job putting the protagonists in a bad light. It's just being a negative nancy. I understand you explained it was a good video in the end, but you didn't have your research straight. I'd love to be proven wrong however, that would be quite the plot twist. But right now I see that's not the case.
@darkelysium2187
@darkelysium2187 Жыл бұрын
@@SloyXP So first let's ignore all the info from the previous videos and focus only on the info in the prequal as evidence that Herobrine is not evil. I mean he LITERALLY sabotaged and destroyed an entire kingdom when he really didn't need to get the scepter back, he snuck into the kingdom pretty easy from the looks of it. There seems to be connection of Herobrine working with the pigmen kingdom which decided to spawn a wither in a town rather than killing one themselves. Another thing is the amount of sculk that's present in herobrine's castle because it's presume to be made from the dead bodies of people and mobs. The definition of evil is pretty subjective based on what people think is evil and it's severity.

The king is just playing Skyrim. He just didn’t realize the deity over the dungeon was still alive. Also, yeah herobrine has something stolen from him, but did herobrine ask for the items back? Or was his first idea to go all count of Monte Cristo on him? Cause that does sorta make both sides a little bit in the wrong, especially with all the innocent casualties. Basically, the villagers were the good guys all along.

I think Herobrine raided the kingdom before the king stole his staff. His beard is smaller in the video because he probably shaved it. And since the events of this video happened after “Take back the night”, he had time to grow it back by the time his son found him in “Find the pieces”. It all makes sense (theoretically) but it’s okay if you don’t agree with me.

Cinema sins head ass takes. What you think it’d make more sense if the world within the music videos just randomly updated and added new elements in universe as to reflect the actual game? Perhaps all past and future updates were already there, just that we didn’t know about it. Even the game with the added Deep Dark biome and Warden clearly alludes to this notion. The world of Minecraft has a history, updates are just us learning about what was already present in-universe.

prequals are good if done right! I like the animation yes but if you look at it from a story and narrative point of view its a mess, Considering a lot of this they use in this prequel didnt even exist in minecraft when thy made the original videos. so it cause alot of issues story wise like How the Warden is now in the world and he charmed one he could have kept around in the kingdom to protect it. Its a mess for the story because you open so many what ifs because your adding things into a story years later but rather then build on the existing story your changing how it begins with things that didnt exist before!
