It's the selection of characters which you can lend to your friends. You can't give them your Traveler, but you are able to use them yourself, if they are Anemo or Electro. Idk whether it's true for Aloy though, since she is Cryo

Right now, only pryo, anemo and electro characters are usable. Its basically the element theme of it. The only way to use a character with an different element is bu using your friends supporting character that they put in. Though you can only use one.

I’d argue that Aloy isn’t an available option; not because of the copyright, but simply because of her availability with any player who hasn’t received her when she was available.

It kinda doesn’t make sense since when they updated the team party setup menu setup they gave every character an entry animation including Aloy. So unless they made a deal with Sony to do that it seems unlikely

They're playable, you just can't set them as your Supports.

I don't know about that but when I play I did use electro Aether in a fight thought. I think in this round you can only use electro or anemo traveler. I don't know about the aloy voiceline copyrights though because if I remember correctly they are not the same person from the original game

The true reason why they actually blacked out is that you are in the support thing(where you lend your characters to your friends) you can't share the traveller and aloy because: • traveller - everyone has them. • Aloy - event character limited(they won't come back in future banners or events because it's from a Collab with another game/app/website/etc)they don't want newer players to use them, because they want to keep it special for players that played at the time the character was given.

Yeah the voice lines are right but I like to think that the traveler has 5 playable elements and only 2 can be played right now but they got lazy and people don't use anemo and electro traveler often so it's not a huge loss.

I'd say they don't allow traveler because they don't want f2p to have another option in what is probably gameplay made to appease whales. But we all know unless you have really good artifacts on traveler, that was never really a option. Unlike Wuthering Waves where the mc is naturally competent.

Traveler is playable i played anemo traveller and it works as intended, do not know about alloy but its propably just the element restriction since technically furina chongyun and nahida(examples) are also unplayable unlike amber yanfei or jean

we'll see if she's even usable once there's a Cryo focus in theater. I mean, if she's not usable then, that's a much bigger L than no new voice lines.

You can use traveler, the issue with yours is the geo resonance.

They could've made the story about her as a trespasser, not a descender.. and how teyvat is against her existence etc. And milk the shit out of Horizon zero dawn. But nahhh they'd Collab with KFC and cars but not Aloy.
