Hi Dylan, for the chords that switch in the middle of a strumming pattern, does it matter if you switch on the first up strum or the second up strum? In the instruction part for the verse you said switch on the first up strum, but sometimes it's the second. Maybe it doesn't matter, but I was trying to follow exactly. Thanks!

Hello! I think it's actually best to switch right in between the first and second up strum, but sometimes I end up switching right on the the first or second - t's always hard to be 100% precise when singing! Honestly, I think all 3 options can work, so I wouldn't stress over that one :)

I've had my uke for almost a year now, and I still can't get down strum patterns such as the intermediate to advanced one you showed, got any tips for me?

I'd advice you to either practice different types of strumming patterns every few days and learn some easy then hard ones, and if you're still struggling, pray to God to see what actual talents he has for you to discover or ask him for guidance.

I am in the same boat. I have had mine for almost a year also and I want to learn this song though I know it will be hard. The first song I learned I practiced the strumming and chord changes for months and then was eventually able to add the words. You can probably do it but it may take you months to do so! I have to remind myself constantly that I'm not always gonna be able to learn songs in a few days. Stuff like this takes a lot of time to learn and adjust too Especially if you're like me and have never played an instrument before. Just don't give up!
