Definitely the wet side! I love putting my stylers on soaking wet hair, plop and microplop, and then add a foam to damp hair and then diffuse/air dry. Results are is similar to when you did your foam refresh

It’s totally personal preference, as a hairdresser I feel like the curly hair community is so polarizing like “this is the only way” and honestly it comes down to what works best for you and your routine. I am a toddler mom and pregnant with my second and I do damp styling and air dry my hair at night and let it ride it out the next day and it is what is. Perfect hair isn’t the goal
