Nico: mother killed when he was like, what, 8 or 10? Kept locked away in a hotel for years. Sister dies. His crush gets with Annabeth. Dyslexia, ADHD. Magic powers that scare everyone away. Can't express feelings, is depressed and border line s*icidal, not to mention anorexic (he literally ate like, a grape a day), literally walked through h3ll- ALONE, trapped in a jar for months, violently outed by Cupid, almost dies delivering the Athena statue, and loses a friend in the end (Leo and Jason). Not to mention left as a side character. Me:.............. But he got a boyfriend....... So it's fine........

Don't forget that he almost went insane in Tartarus and also Minos. But Nico did get more than just a boyfriend. He got Reyna and Hazel, Will's siblings, finally feeling accepted in camp, etc. Will is there to help Nico out through his trauma and Nico is there to help Will through his trauma.

it is. i love them both a ton, but Solangelo just hits different, and it gets us out of the groove of the normal things we see with Percebeth, Frazle, and Jasper. dont get me wrong, i love them all so so much, but Solangelo is just the best. And now their getting their own book!
