Are you wondering what's the best soap making scale? Not sure which scale will work for you as a soap maker or candle maker?
My Weigh has long been a favourite scale of choice for soap makers and candle makers alike, but they recently released a really fantastic new scale called the Maestro.
It has all the functionality we know and love from their scales but it has some fantastic new features too! The main one is that it has TWO weighing platforms, the main larger scale PLUS a small mini scale that is perfect for soap makers and candle makers to weigh the smaller item like essential oils, clays, botanicals and soap making colourants.
It weighs up to 8kg capacity and it weighs all the way down to 0.1g increments - wow how cool is that!
It can be powered with 3 x AAA batteries and it comes complete with an AC power adapter too so a truly versatile scale that will work for your soap making anywhere, anytime.

Wow...talk about timing...I was looking for a new scale and was eyeing this one. I really like the option for the precision scale attached instead of having to look for my smaller precision scale. Thanks again!!!

I am currently using KD7000. It is reliable. I have no complaints. However, the Maestro is really looking good.

I actually am looking to upgrade my weigh kd7000 so this was very useful info. Thank you. Although, I think the capacity on this is only 5#’s. I need a minimum of 15# weight capacity.

Having used it for a while now, I still prefer my KD7000 and 8000 :)

Hi are you sure there are approved for making soap in the UK, I really want to buy these but I am scared to spent the money and they are not what I need ,

No the KD7000, KD8000 and Maestro are all for weighing ingredients not a finished product. MyWeigh may do trade stamped scales too though

These are accurate scales ideal for measuring ingredients etc but they are not trade stamped scales for weighing the product going to market, which tend to be much more expensive. If you are in the UK try looking at www.countyscales.co.uk
