I love it when a guy who has a financial interest in telling you that there isn't a problem tells you that there isn't a problem. The math of ownership in Florida is becoming unsustainable. Might as well stay in the northeast, even with the "high" property taxes.

Who in their right mind would live in an HOA? Don't you work hard enough for your money to let some social hierarchy boss you around on your own property?

@LIVINGINPALMBEACHFLORIDA All HOAs are bad doodoo. Even the nice ones have the potential to turn bad. Best to buy a non-HOA home.

HOAs do not add value to home prices. They are a net negative that transfers responsibility from the city to these quasi legal lawless entities.
