Have Two White ones from last year, one in kitchen, one in hall. I like them . Small, but that’s okay, work fine. Just ordered a Black one, didn’t know they had different colors now, to switch out in kitchen, have Black appliances. Put the one in hall in bathroom light fixture Vertically. Works great. Is it possible to run the fan with the light off?

Yes! You can run it with the light on or off with no problem.

No, unfortunately its only one direction (7:30). But its downward blowing! Very powerful
