I had a copy of this for ps2 when i was a young lass...the disc was scratched heavily and could only play the 1st mission, when I would try to load up the 2and it would freeze, if lucky would be able to play it but anytime after that is a no show because the disk was scratched far beyond recognition...but for 6yo me the first mission was all I needed. God I miss this game aswell as combined assault ghost recon and old rainbow six...best tactical shooters a young boy could as for.

I just used to play it as a kid because I liked guns and you could shoot people in the game lol, then I played the actual missions when I got older lol. Good game. I loved setting up jester that fuck to go open a door far away using the scope just to watch him get killed by the tangos that stupid fuck. So much entertainment in this game

This game was so far ahead of its time. First online game for ps2 I ever played, required broadband and the special modem adapter.. the online for this was amazing, you could give voice commands through your headset to your squad as well. Bring it back for Xbox series X

SOCOM 3 tried to be like Battlefield and was far too linear, Combined Assault was a return to form for the series. Although, sadly, it was hampered by glitches and AI that was all over the place. Still, with tons of customizable weapons, large open ended missions, it was a decent send-off for the PS2 series. The first two PSP games were pretty good, too. Third one was meh.
