when chronostatic expires it doesnt heal anyone. use it or lose it.

I don't agree with this. As a healer, you absolutely do NOT want a damaging spell that decreases your Spirit for 30s. This is as outdated as the Balefire Bolt in the Fire DPS Build, nobody is using it in raid because it simply doesn't make sense. There is also no mentioning of the Overgrowth trinket in this video which is insane, if you cast Mass Regen into Rank 1 Arcane Missiles to just fill up your mana. That being said, taking 3/3 into improved Arcane Explosion is also nonsense. When do you jump into a pack as a healer in groupplay?

Actually over all doing damage healing is actually weaker then just useing chronostatic as a healing mage i was pretty healing for bout 2000 per pop of the chrono

This looks good on paper, but you’re going to go oom so damn fast. A healer with no mana is a dead raid. Mage healing is very tricky due to the conversion of damage to healing. If you just spam your damage spells like a dps, you’re not really doing your job as a healer, which is to be judicious with your mana and last the entire fight. Sunken temple even with the nerfs are still long fights right now. Your video doesn’t address any mana consumption issues and your advice is going to oom and be useless.

Agreed. With Enlightment i did not have much mana issues, i was comfy most of time. However, there were some moments where i was getting tight on mana due some mechanics of boss being taken wrongly or something, after all mistakes are normal. The 3 mana chips are good, but you should not trust only on them, nor trust you will have time to evocation. Maybe, people that are close to perfect parse, playstyle is rarely wrong, and more hardcore factors may allow to not run oom, but thats not common generally speaking

my man says 5% and then wastes talents getting 10% hit - only need 3 in arcane focus if you have 0 hit on gear, 2 points if u have 1% hit from say Cord of the Untamed - personally ill put two points in mana shield and one in attunement... up to you get that utility... i dont put any points into explosion and have 5 points in improved arcane missiles

your talent tree makes no sense at all. No one is using Balefire in a raid. we are casting arcane blast and arcane missiles, and thats it. you should be putting ALL talent points into the arcane tree and zero into fire or frost.

i disagree with this comment. I noticed my healing and damage spike when i used balefire bolt. its huge actually. only issue I have with it is it ruins mana regen over long periods of time, and the fights are already tight on the mana. maybe with more mana and regen towards the end of the phase, spamming balefire could be more viable. i used it very sparingly this weekend. Also the part in the comment about ALL your points in arcane, the last 5-10 points in arcane are kind of useless anyways for PVE, so why not put them into something that could boost your damage slightly with fire

I suggest not to run both regens. First of all, single target regen last 30s, but 2 of this cast equals 1 of Mass regen, which heals 5 people, not 2, for the half amount of time, making it way more efficient. Therefore chest is open for 3 runes, Enlightement, Burnout, and Regen (if you fancy, but not really need). Enlight will cover mana issues the longer it takes to kill the target, the damage buff is noticeable, but not that important as Burnout, which will grant 15% crit chance with spells, but non DoT spells consume 1% of mana base extra (which is, not much, but can ruin it up alongside balefire rune). If you choose regen on chest, your pants is best suited for icy veins, which make you fast cast 20s every 120s iirc, by 20% which is again a good thing, as you cast every 5th AB, you managed to get 1 additional, transaltes into 2 additionals AB every min/2min.

I disagree. They both have their purpose. And focus on only the Temporal Beacon. Lets keep math Simple also. 100 Arcane Blast --> 80 Heal At 2.5 Secs 30 Sec Temporal Beacon = 12 Arcane Blast At 2.5 Secs 15 Sec Temporal Beacon = 6 Arcane Blast Single Target This is a maximum heal of 960. With AOE it scales to 480 - 960 (2 Targets) - 1440 (3 Targets) - 1920 (4 Targets) - 2400 (5 Targets) So now that we have proved with 2 or more targets the healing potential is the same next lets look at the mana consumption. My numbers are focus on my level 45 Mage. Regeneration cost 411 Mana --> 822 Mana for 2 people. Mass Regeneration Cost 661 for up to 5 people. This means that 2 heals cost 161 mana more than healing 5 targets. Moral of the story you should have both and consider what is best, in wow classic melee classes take alot of damage. This phase will be no exception. Now to address your concern. Last phase I had a 97.5 MP5 in Gnomer. If I equip the rune you suggested that is ~117.5. Thats only a difference of about 20 MP5. Sure it adds up. In a 3 min fight you can get 48 ticks for MP5. 117.5 --> 5640 97.5 --> 4680 Difference of 960. This means that this is a difference of 2 single target heals. This mana difference doesnt constitute a valid argument unless you are sololy tank healing. Then you should be running this build. If your party healing then both are needed.

@@sherardtemple7034 exatcly, in a 2min fight, you get 2 more single heals. lets add up, 4 min fight, or 6min, how fast can u kill ST bosses actually? your first point makes no sense, what is best is to minmax your strentghs, so wasting 1 slot on either is not a deal. youre on a 2 to 4 healers comp, your job is not to take every guy and heal him/her, thats a mess up. divide the people or role. 2 healers? one does group heal, other focuses on single heal. 4 healers? divide groups , healer aoe 1 and 2 cover 2 diferent groups, single target healers covers High risk people, as example. So simple, youre not supposed to take both, youre supposed to take the best for your raid comp and planning, you just have the option to be flexible before the boss starts. second point, bosses get longer to beat, spirits becomes more a concern, so does mana regen. balefire cuts a lot spirit, can you keep the pace with mana on ST bosses? now you will appreciate these 960 mana, right? theyre more than just 2 heals, any panic blink, any panic heal, any sudden mistake, etc. youre a healer that can do damage, a healer, after all. you dont ever wanna run out of mana.

@@thevictoraptor I've cleared ST and we usually did it with 2-3 healers, I took both Regen and Mass Regen and was usually ending the fights at around 450-500 HPS. Mana was sometimes an issue, but if you have a Balance Druid the mana issue isn't really an issue anymore. If our tanks were taking meh damage I would toss up Regen on the one that was tanking then Mass Regen the group taking damage while the other healer took care of the others. Even if the tanks are taking big damage you can out heal it with proper planning and without Preservation. I am almost full BiS so I'm not sure what it is like without it. Balefire seems kinda useless tho tbh.
