Welcome back to yet another paragraph of text where I complain about how long this took to get made, haha. You know, I did make adjustments that I feel like would make the process go by a little faster... and those adjustments sure felt a lot easier at the time, but didn't necessarily go faster. Once again, I found myself learning a bit more about making videos, however! I certainly have the feeling of getting a little bit stronger every time I work at it.

Imagine how stunningly good & realistic pre rendered graphics were on modern hardware such as ps4 pro & xbox one.

it would be very photo realistic seriously thought just look at game like until dawn it wasn't even pre render.

Great video bro. You remind me of the Nerd when his channel was still good. Epic!!! I'm actually doing research into creating pre-rendered assets for an RPG Maker adventure game. It's a warm-up before I start on a Unity game about life after the death of the sun. I'm really happy to see that there's still a community for this type of workflow :)

Wow, that explains so much why resident evil had such great "graphic" back then.... I was always wondering why GameCube owned such graphic power :/ Perfectely pre-rendered background really is a powerful thing, great video!

one more thing about gamecube is that it's a bit more powerful than ps2 with 9 gflops and then there's xbox with 20 gflops way more powerful than even wii with 12 gflops, ps2 = 6 gflops.

Age of Empires... that game... I spent wayyyyy too much time on that game. Pre-Rendered graphics are one of those things that I have a love/hate relationship with. It's amazing how it opened up the world of gaming and the majority of those games have aged really well -- provided they aren't pushing the sprite limit ((I'm looking at you, Donkey Kong Gameboy port!)). The other side of that coin is that they can kind of lack some of the responsiveness of games now -- like everything running the Frostbite 3+ engine. Then again, pre-rendered graphics have also been made more accessible with RPG Maker and the like, so it's still out there.

SodawaveShow Games with pre-rendered graphics have a very strong place my gaming from when I was just a kid. By the time that I was old enough to play games, these kind of games were all the rage in the mid and late 90s. They still look good today on a CRT.

On a crt maybe. But anywhere else games like oot (inside of houses) and ff7 look horrendous
