wait... one thing I just noticed on my... fourth or fifth rewatch? The two stalkers who held off the bloodsucker horde? It always seemed strange to me, given how dangerous bloodsuckers can be, that the two of them survived being rushed by like eight of the things. When our protagonist enters the tunnel that the convoy took shelter in, there's only the one dead stalker and the one dead bloodsucker who killed him. I guess the bloodsuckers they shot were just SODAZ' rendition of the hallucination attack controllers do where they release apparitions of mutants to attack you
@user-lo9jg6wc6s9 ай бұрын
I understand everything, BUT! If we adhere to the canons of the stalker, then the controller cannot be attacked with the help of phantoms, only PSI installations do this (brain burner at the Radar location)

@user-vq1jz2nh7e9 ай бұрын
Depends on one's view on the mutants. Some see bloodsuckers as deadly and lonely one-at-a-time predators, other see them as less powerful creatures tended to live in a horde. Using zombies as a distraction, and then sending in Monolith was really clever, and I hope that kind of thing is in the second STALKER. Along with a pretty convincing and 'realistic' portrayal of such a specialized mission: lots of waiting, patience, bursts of action and fearlessness companied with necessary moments of downtime (the bandaging, reloading magazines, packing of bags,...) If I could critique 1 thing it would be the lighting: if interesting sources of light and hues put more contrast between the highlighted spots and the darkness, then i think your beautiful animations, effects etc could've been even more appreciated. Everything about it was spot on and you honoured this game with such dedication and attention to detail. I'm so so so grateful to you for making this. Thank you! Right down to the Blood-sucker's eyes glowing.. This really is awesome. Not gonna lie, I really thought the merc was going to take a bullet to the head in that doorway... you even had me on the edge of my seat to the very last second of this... What you have achieved here is better than some major block-buster movies.. I'm serious. You are so talented. KEEP GOING AND DON'T LET ANYTHING STOP YOU, EVEN YOUR OWN SELF-DOUBT, no no no, you KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING, REGARDLESS. Doesn't matter if you make no money- it's not about money, or success.. it's about creativity, connecting with others and telling your stories to everyone. Let all the other stuff be a bonus. Do it for your heart and you will go far :) Just to put what I'm about to say into context; I've played Computer games from the start, (green screen space invaders etc). Having said that, S.T.A.L.K.E.R is my NUMBER ONE favourite fps-style game of ALL TIME. Its replayability is one of its strong points. It is based on a true event, the aftermath of which, I witnessed unfolding on TV. It held me fixed like a controller, and it shook the entire world. I grew up obsessed with the mystery of radioactivity and its invisible lethal effects. Such a dangerous force that we don't give much thought to, but without Earth's protective atmosphere, and magnetic field, we'd be all too familiar with very quickly... I've always loved science fiction and science in general. This game has it all, for me. A connection to my personal past, laced with scientific content, exploration, outdoor survival, and small arms combat, it has me enthralled from the get-go. Horrific dangerous environments to have to come face-to-face with, your deepest fears- the game making you face them, having to step into that pitch black room, if you want to progress in the story... with only a torch-light and a limited supply of resources. I hate how I love this game so much!!! Some of my friends can't/won't even play it! If you've played the games, you will find a Easter-egg by way of a picture of the dev team, stood infront of the CNPP. I think it's either in the Dark Valley building, or the Army Warehouses, but it shows the dev team in a picture, hanging on the wall. i loved seeing that. I have the screenshots to remember it haha. But I am conflicted now, with sadness, great sadness, to hear that one of the devs of this beloved game series was K.I.A. defending Ukraine from invading Russian troops. I never thought I'd be having to come to terms with this, while admiring the smiling faces of the game devs, in their easter egg pictures found in the STALKER games... I'm just- lost for words really. Which makes your homage to this game all the more special. Thank you for contributing to the STALKER universe and enriching it's community with your AMAZING short story here. I am really looking forward to seeing, and sharing more of your work, awesome! :)

Hey, heads up - the guy behind the spooky Controller audio is quite thrilled to see it used for the Controller psy-fuckery here! While I have a preference for STALKER's vanilla models - since they fit into the world they live in and make up STALKER's identity - I think you did an impressive job with capturing the atmosphere, tension, and action of STALKER with the more modern HD models. Favorite part was the whole Controller segment, since it feels like you really took advantage of the medium here to properly show the capabilities of a Controller as stated in lore.

I'd like to point out (and praise) the attention to details in this film, also for those who do not play stalker to gain a more detailed view on this film 0:28 Kolobok is an artifact found only in the fruit punch anomaly, Both the depiction of artifact and the anomaly are correct 0:30 Kolobok gives +2 radiation, so make sense he puts it in a container 1:18 There are no lighters in the zone (might change in stalker 2), all depiction of cigarette lighting is using matches 1:36 Correct depiction of SoC PDA, take note of the name on the right bottom corner 2:04 Stalker zombies are that sensitive yes. They can sense you from tens of meters away 2:11 Sometimes multiple shots do not kill a zombie, even when the head is shot already 2:35 Yes stalker zombies can use guns 2:41 An94 (in game called obodkan, or AC-96/2 depending on which game) is used extensively by the military 2:51 Monolith (white suit guys) are not attacked by the zombies because they are technically "on the same team" (I won't spoil too much about the plot). Also Rpg is only seen used by Monolithians (there are some laying by other faction members in game such as mercs, but that's when they are dead and only provide for you to pick up) 2:54 Explains the abundance of broken APCs in the game 3:04 Monolithians have white eyes, correct depiction 3:13 Correct wounded noise for military 3:16 да монолітх !!! 3:58 Blue colored NVG signifies gen 2 version of night vision (in SoC and Clear Sky). 4:17 Snork noises 4:25~4:39 : One snork feeding on a corpse while 2 others lurk in the darkness. Snorks never hunt alone, and use ambush tactics (like leaping) 4:44 Poorly armed bandits, like they always are 4:51 Yelling like a madman, typical bandits 4:57 Swinging their flashlight around, true bandit fashion 5:28 Finding someplace safe to heal, any stalker knows how important it is to find place first then heal, a mutant or a hostile stalker might ambush you while you are healing. 5:35 The way he take those pills are similar to the way in Anomaly. 5:52 task update once you reached task location 6:12 visions of controller when one is nearby 7:17 Same eating sound as in game 7:31 Military engaging bandits in the zone 7:34 HE SAID IT, HE SAID THE THING !!! 7:52 ecologists sticking near to military as they are government scientists 8:04 Despite being advantageous to take out the soldiers first, the merc aims at the ecologists first. Most mercs are known to hate ecologists 8:16 Unknown sniper, possibly loner or bandit hiding in the buildings. A common hazard in the zone 8:20 Shotgunner taking shots like a champ because he's wearing exoskeleton, one of the most powerful armor in the game 8:32 flocks of bird when blowout is near 8:33 blowout siren 8:38 notice how the protagonist uses English when everyone else uses slavic language (ukraninan/russian). The protagonist is a mercenary (indicated by the eagle insignia) which can come from many places, our protagonist most likely comes from America (indicated by his name) 8:43 The exosuit soldier is last because he cannot sprint (a limitation of the suit until you add modifications). 8:58 birds die due to blowout, a sight in the zone 9:13 faint bloodsucker noises 9:24 Shotguns can usually 1-2 shot mutants, unless its a "boss" mutant like a pseudogiant or chimera. Most mutants can take a lot of punishment from intermediate rifle rounds. 9:27 More bloodsucker noises, as they live in hives 9:36 Correct ecologist lines 9:39 in game door sounds 9:44 Ecologists are very poorly armed, most of them (like this) only has a pistol 9:47 stalker ambient noises 10:14 Exosuit only protects body, not the head. They can still die to a head shot even if its a pistol 10:43 Electro anomaly on the powerline. Electro anomalies usually spawn near electrical systems 10:45 Stalker outside of cover during blowout turns into zombies. 11:33 that static noise when a controller is present 11:36 That zoom on the controller when it attacks, truthful to the game. Also the noises gets louder when the controller gets near the merc just like the games 12:39 No one survives in the zone alone, make allies as one day they might help you live 12:44 Stalker run (me n the bois on our way to the bar) 12:51 USB Flash drive, data type items is mostly represented by a Flash drive in game. in conclusion : very good film

Right on most of the points, but one thing: The abundance of broken vehicles/APCs/etc. in the Zone is more due to the Zone having a deleterious effect on vehicles and large electronics. @@damienblackburn5459 No that was because the military didn't know that position of anomalies change with every emission. Vehicles work, but there is a lot that can kill them there.

Also as a fellow Stalker player I would like to clarify some things from your comment: On 7:31 this is not military shooting bandits but mercs (military always uses their camo uniforms where mercs use dark blue suits) aligned with ecologists (in games you can almost always found ecologists surrounded with merc guards because scientists pay the most) Also given how many things point out that this animation is based on Anomaly (different types of exoskeletons for example nosorog used by Monolith) probably these guards are part of ecologist faction in which most of the people utilise Merc suits (that's why their suits have dark blue colour like mercs) Regarding exoskeleton, the one used by the Merc (or more likely armed ecologist as in Anomaly they act separately) is a scientific version (in Anomaly most factions have their own version of different types of suits and armour) of proto-exoskeleton. Biggest differences between proto and standard version of exoskeleton is that the proto version lacks additional ballistic protection and an exohelm that can shrug off alot of different types of bullets especially pistol rounds (unless you have Desert Eagle) that's why he got killed by one shot from a pistol. Also given how main character completed mission for UNISG he can also be their spy undercover as a merc (alot of mercs comes from other countries than eastern block which can easily explain his English).

5:06 Bravo on the round count, he fired exactly seven shots before his slide locked back Though, if we were to be critical, he should have had eight rounds given he's a mercenary and wouldn't forgo the +1, especially on a gun with a very small magazine

the idea of the monolith deliberately using zombies as canon fodder is kinda neat. Surprised you don't see it in the vanilla games

This actually happened to me or it might've been a coincidence but I was coming out of Radar and I was being shot at by 1 monolith soldier and 3 zombies following him 2m behind and they weren't fighting or anything, albeit I was using mods but it was still pretty neat.

@@Edgyworthy по игре группировка монолит не враждует с мутантами и зомби,это можно посмотреть в файлах игры. С наёмниками они так же нейтралы. Но в каждой версии нужно смотреть.

In S.O.C. That’s basically what happens when entering the red forest. I had zombies with PMM, Ak, Shotguns rush me while the monolith were in the back plinking me it was stressful

Сейчас сложилась тенденция, что фанатские видео намного информативнее и зрелищнее, чем произведения больших кинокомпаний. И это касается всех направлений в кино. Я за автора данного видео - просто красавчик!!!!
