When it comes to Canaan, there are more parallels to Moav. There was a Canaanite and later Phillistine city called Timnah or Timnath. During the time of the Patriarchs it was a place of exile for members of the Sons of Terah. Shua/Shuakh ben Buz ben Nahor and his cousin Avi/Ewi ben Uz ben Nahor were both exiled here for marrying Canaanite women. Shua/Shuakh was the father-in-law of both his namesake Shuakh ben Avraham and Keturah and one of the sons of that union was Bildad ha-Shuaki the friend of Iyov; and his daughter Bat Shua/Aliyath was married to Yehudah after Yehudah was passed out from drinking too much wine. The only surviving son of that union was Shelah. This place was also where Yehudah was deceived by his daughter-in-law Tamar into conceiving Peretz, the ancestor of King David, and Zerach. While King David was from Peretz in the male line, his mother was from Shelah and paternal grandmother was from Zerach. Avi/Ewi was the father-in-law of both Reuven and Iyov, through Iyov's first wife. Iyov, however had a second wife, Dinah bat Yaakov/Yisrael and one of their daughters was Yemimah who married Betzalel and the daughter of Betzalel and Yemimah married Nachshon ben Amminadav and they would be King David's paternal 3 times Great-grandparents. Also, Betzalel and Yemimah's granddaughter was the mother of Shimshon who would also have marital troubles in this city. Another parallel was that this city was home to 5 exiles, although Reuven and Yehudah were voluntary exiles: the aforementioned Shua/Shuakh ben Buz ben Nahor and Avi/Ewi ben Uz ben Nahor, along with Yehudah, for the sale of Yosef, and Reuven, for the incident with his father's couch although he didn't commit actual adultery, and Hirah who is later known as Hiram the King of Tyre who would help David's son Shlomo ha-Melech construct the First Beis HaMigdash. Hirah/Hiram also has a third name Kenaz. He was the result of Eliphaz ben Esau/Edom sleeping with his brother Yalaam's wife. Unlike other Edomites, Kenaz/Hirah/Hiram admitted to his origins and refused to inherit fraudulently from the children of Yalaam and that instead he should inherit from his biological father Eliphaz. The Edomites were horrified at this contempt for their adulterous customs and so he was exiled to Timnah/Timnath. There are further parallels of five. Five males participated in the disgrace of Noach: Noach, his 3 sons and Canaan; the five cities of the Siddim Valley; the 5 sons of Yehudah although only 3 survived (paralleling the 3 sons of Noach); and Iyov who was also associated with this city: he and his friends are five people.

Naamah of Ammon was the only righteous foreign wife of Shlomo ha-Melech and their son Rehavam, despite losing 10 Tribes, would become King and is the ancestor of the Moshiach. The difference between Moabite anti-Semitism and Ammonite anti-Semitism is that Moav is more obvious about hence his brazen name Moav (from the father) and Ammon is more sneaky hence the more ambiguous name of Ben-Ami (son of my nation).
