If you take the Awdry RWS cannon, he'd be 108-109. According to the original lore, he was built just before WW1, and ended up on sodor as part of a wartime goods train. He became the NWR's number 1 because the LBSCR thought he was lost in war service and had already filed the paperwork to remove him from the books, so it was easier to sell him on the cheap to the newly formed NWR then go through all the red tape to undo writing him off. Awdry had a lot of lore on all the engines that never made it into the main books, much of which ended up in the lore book The Island of Sodor: it's People, History, and Railways, as well as some other stuff in notes that have been more recently uncovered. Some fan creators have been writing stories involving Bloomer, a fully developed character that was recently found in Awdry's notes who never got any official mention anywhere. My favorite is the lore on Percy. He has quite the mysterious origin story, and depending on how you count it, might be the oldest of the original 8 other than Edward. He was an old industrial engine, put together out of bits from many different engines and manufacturers. All we really know for sure is that he was already old when the railway bought him in 1949, that his frames were built by Avonside, and that he also has bits produced by Hunslet and other builders. Assuming he started as an Avonside 0-4-0, this puts his origins anywhere between 1880 and 1930, although how he ended up rebuilt into his current for we will never know and can only make fan theories about. Another fun thing you'll notice if you really look at the lore is that Toby is actually a couple months to a year younger than Thomas, even if he has far more life experience and a much more mature personality. It's something nobody really realized with the general old man persona Toby has always had and how childlike Thomas has always been portrayed, but they are probably closer in age than any other pair of engines on the island who aren't explicitly twins.

Even if one for 419 were there, the loco only came back into steam around 2018, might have been out of the question for timelines

@@LMS5935 like I said. I'm debating it because of: 1 Scotsman is already set up in RWS form in my series 2 the TSI one is too similar to Gordon. I think some different faces would have been nice 3. However. TSI has headcodes where as RWS doesn't.
