These interviews should last between 45 minutes and an hour, they are very good. One is left wanting more.

Hi Carlos. You can hear more from Alec on his Magnum storytelling course if you want hours more content. We try and keep the videos succinct and it is great to hear you are interested in more. We have bonus content available for members of our foundation so that would be a good place to look for more: www.martinparrfoundation.org/membership/

Thanks for commenting Fabrizio. It can be difficult when there is such a focus on a particular style or trend to form your own style and it is great to know that the photographers we look up to have faced the same difficulties themselves.

Martin Parr Foundation Martin’s pictures are all great, so intelligent and even serious... but I especially love his self portraits... with that look in his eyes, so aware and “tongue in cheek”... he always makes me laugh, and that’s the skill I do appreciate the most. Thank you Mr Parr.

Great to watch these insights, some very useful tips mixed in throughout the series that don't often get aired. This one finished on an interesting point about giving the subject a print, if the admin sees this post i would love to know if these prints would form part of the overall edition which would then start from 2, or if they are somehow outside the edition such as a test/work print? Cheers!
@MartinParrFDN
@MartinParrFDN 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tobiasthe1st. Each photographer has their own rules for editions of prints but often edition prints will be specific sizes. Sharing a print could therefore take many forms and depends on the picture in question but may not necessarily be an editioned print and could, as you say, be treated more akin to a test/work print. Hope that helps?

@@MartinParrFDN Thanks for the reply. Just in audio form. I don't know how hard it is to just capture the audio and publish that as well in podcast form? Video is great as it also has images but sometimes I don't have the time to watch a long-form interview (except right now)!

@@WS-bk7uu +1 for podcast audio versions of all these. Longer, unedited, and with space to ramble would suit that format nicely.
