That's exactly what I think!!!!!!!!!!

I had the same thing happen to me. I told my best friend at the time about a guy that I liked and she was all happy and encouraging like "woo-hoo girl go get yo mans" and I truly thought that she supported me and I tried to get closer to him but then I realised that something really strange was happening. Despite knowing I have a crush on him, she started to sit closer to him in class, started to spend time with him, so much so that they were inseparable. Everytime I would try to come up with a plan that would include me and him, he would always ask if she could tag along, and slowly I started to get jealous. But still, I couldn't stop her from seeing him because I can't control her life and it seemed that it would hurt the guy to suddenly stop seeing her which I didn't want, so I let them be until one day she told me that they've both confessed their feelings to each other and that they're dating and that she hopes that I'll support her and him. And lmao I was livid. I wanted to yell at her so bad, for trying to "take him away from me" but then you realise that people aren't objects and they aren't meant to stay. Sure, Imane and Sofiane had adorable moments together, just like me and the guy I liked, but then it was his conscious decision to leave her for Manon. And Manon and Sofiane actually got closer and Imane sort of drifted away, kind of like what I went through. But Manon had also been a great friend in the past seasons, just like my friend had been and it's so difficult to navigate that whole grey area between supporting your best friend and stop being hurt. It taught me that sometimes the people that we like aren't meant to be with us, but if they do end up with someone closer to us, we can't just ditch them and leave them forever. If we can't be happy for them then the least we can do is let them be, because they deserve love too, and if they've found it together (despite the small period of time that Manon and Sofiane date each other for) we should just respect that and let it be. Just my two cents.
