Yea Sofirn is something else man. I stay loyal to this company after waisting so much money on all these over rated lights . People really build up company's like Olight ,Phoenix , Thrunight.There all over rated. Just because a light is more expensive than the other doesn't make it better. I'm telling you that's what people think. Or they'll make a fancy add with a truck running over the light than freezing it and last saying it's like 1000,000,000,0000 lums.lol. Sofirn in the other hand will put up a nice pik of the light and directions very Detailed with a nice price. STAY HUMBLE SOFIRN. GUYS ROCK.!! OH AND. bla bla bla bla bla bla .Yall know the rest take care. (Let there be Light ) the man upstairs said. Who knows maybe that's HIM putting it on lightning mode all this time on stormy nights . Great reviews. I'm missing out on runtimes. Trying to find a good combination of lumens and runtimes. I like the compact sizes of the sp33 but get stuck in the versions. Any tips?

What's the stepdown like on high mode (1800 lumen)? Does it decrease output gradually over the entire 1.5 hours or step down to medium on a timer? I assume a flashlight of this price does not have flat lumen graph.

This is a very nice budget light. Ok this light does well in cold weather and stayed on high for almost 3 minutes in ramp mode it will step quickly to high mode. That was the only step down that I saw outside. Thanks for watching!

I also have the Utorch C8F otw but it didn't come with a 21700 battery like the Sofirn. I ordered a LiitoKala 40A 21700 battery for it. Hopefully it's as high drain as the Sofirn battery.

I like this light a lot. Good throw and lots of bright spill. Good for walking at night. One thing I don't like about the UI is that there's no way to go to a lower setting (in stepped modes). It's up only. If you're in a medium mode, you can't go to a lower mode without going up to the top and starting back down at the lowest mode and going up again. It's a PITA. I guess I'll stick to the ramping mode -- it works great and reverses direction if you want. Another weird thing about the UI is that it doesn't just jump to turbo, it 'ramps up' to it. It seems to go to high, then ramp up to turbo. Not a problem, just kind of weird.

I know you posted this review quite sometime ago but I just received one of these lights yesterday I figured it was a very good buy for the light output I also had a 20%off coupon from Amazon so I figured I would give it a shot it’s a nice light it’s solid but I have my doubts about the lumen output I compared it to my Klarus XT21X which is rated at 3000 lumens but this light doesn’t even seem to be close maybe I just got a dim one but at $31 and change its still not a bad buy.

Charles, I just found your channel and ordered the lights from your link. Thanks for the nice reviews! Looking forward to this brand as I never heard of them before. I will be honest. I am still cautious how they can be a good amount cheaper, but still have near the same quality as say thrunite, nitecore, etc. Also, the coupon codes you have are a great deal at almost $10.00 off the already cheap price of the light kit! Also, if warranty works needs done do they have a USA point of presence or does one have to send it back to china to fix? Thanks again.

One other question to the expert. Which flashlight would you recommend to give, let's say , moonlight,around 500 lumens on low, around 1000 lumens on mid, and constant- without stepdown of 1500 lumens on high, and then turbo to finish off.?? rudyanto wen the Jetbeam blows this light away. The problem with this Sofirn Model is lumen output. It’s not 3,500 lumens, no way. My Acebeam L16 which claims 2,000 lumens but has been measured by most around 1,600 lumens is brighter than this Sofirn.

Todd K I just re-ordered this Sofirn. Apparently there is a new driver in it which allows it to hit the 3,500 lumens. I’ll have it today and can advise later. On my previous comment of the Jetbeam vs. Acebeam obviously they are 2 different lights one primarily flood and the L16 awesome throw with good spill so beam patterns are different. But I have other floody 3,200 lumen lights, Klarus, which I’ll compare this Sofirn to tonight.

209 RC click four times and the light will flash twice indicating the light mode has changed. Repeat that until you get to the mowed you prefer.

The question remains, what is an appropriate match for this, or any, 21700 lights,.
