Conclusion (for translation)
Great addition to the Sofirn range with their second tactical model featuring dual tail switches, just as long as you don't mind having no shortcut to turbo. I personally believe that a true tactical model should always have instant turbo, without first needing to turn it off from turbo so it's memorised. What I love most about the SF26 is the hidden USB C port, just the battery status indicator hidden is a bit pointless in use and serves only as a charging indicator.

Haven't posted in a few weeks due to a good friend's mum was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and may not be with us much longer. Wasn't in the best state of mind to review.

Sorry to hear that, its very hard when parents leave us, or are approaching that point, so can understand how you feel for your friend. How do you feel this compares to the if22a, i see it has longer range, but is that at the expense of some amount of flood(will you be stocking them?). Currently back to using my if22a, as my always in pocket torch, as M1 kept turning on in my pocket(including on high lep mode), even when kept in a soft case(stupid lockout is just a long press on power button, and turns on in last used mode), and lep lens has a soft coating on it, which got damaged within first few days, along with lots of scratches in lens itself, with same other items in pocket, yet if22a still has no more than it, even though in pocket since buying it.

@@Retiredkiwi I know I mentioned awhile back about selling Sofirn again, but for retailers they're a rip off because they don't have wholesale rates. The price of the SF26 is only a little less than an Acebeam L18 at their wholesale rate. Great deal for the public, but not worth the money for retailers. If I register for GST then I'll be in trouble trying to sell them for a profit that doesn't see prices close to higher end brands. It's disappointing since Sofirn and Wurkkos have a few decent models. Would you pay $90 nzd for that IF22A (incl battery)? That's the lowest I could manage incl GST and still be worth it. Importing would cost $50. I'd rather carry the IF22A for an EDC model, you even have a power bank, not that I've ever used that feature. The SF26 is well made, and actually has nice quality switches for once, but a bit too large for the pocket. If this model interests you, I'd recommend the Wurkkos TD01 for the better UI. I'd never use strobe which is why the TD01 makes more sense with its instant Turbo. I miss Sofirn involving the flashlight community in their releases, their releases aren't that great anymore with multiple things the public complain about. Wurkkos seem more interested in listening to ideas now. I never understand why brands think a hold for lockout is a good idea.

Your reviews have always been the best. Great location, beamshots and strangely enough my favorite part was the music selection. I'm loving these shorter 3-5 minute review format. And thanks for including the conclusion page. Really helps! This light is gonna be a pass for me. Nice budget L19 type of budget light from Sofirn but that unregulated driver kills it again.

I really hope Sofirn come up with a smaller (head) light that has the dual tail switches and that hidden USB port.

good review thanks! I just think that Sofirn is leaving a lot to be desired, it seems that there are only two LEDs for the Sofirn brand sst40 or sft40. They are outdated LEDs, I want to congratulate Convoy who always gives options to the customer with several XHP50.2 or XHP70 LEDs. 2 now has the SBT90.2 and all for a good price.

It seems the new versions of this flashlight (which I have) allows you access turbo from off by double tapping the mode button. Or perhaps yours does it too, they simply didn’t state that on the manual.

Hi 🙂 glad you enjoy the videos. It doesn't cost me anything, I receive 99% of the flashlights for free from the brands. You could start by asking Sofirn and Wurkkos for review samples. Try joining their Facebook Groups too. It does take a lot of time and effort, but I enjoy making them for all my viewers.

C8L is much better because it has a regulated boost driver. It sustains 1100 lumens. I'm waiting for the Wurkkos TD01C, it's the upgraded version of the TD01 and it has a regulated driver.
