This is so beautiful and so age appropriate for her. I hate when stylists make teenage girls look like little bitty girls. I remember when I was 16, I went in for a trim (my hair was past bra strap length, and I hadn't been to the salon in years, so I just wanted my ends cleaned up) Came out with a BOB....and 1991 pink sponge roller bangs. And then had the nerve to give me a half up, half down, with this waterfall pom pom ponytail, which, my hair was too short to be in a high ponytail, so it just looked....inflicted. Just stuck up in the air. A mess. I was so pissed. I told her I was 16, but I guess she thought she'd go on and give me the 4th grade look from 1993. Thank you for doing this young lady's hair right.

Do you ever feel like you're endorsing eurocentric type hair with these types of comments?
@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley3 жыл бұрын
@@karabokhwiane7593 She didn't say "she's beautiful with straight hair", just that she has a beautiful head of hair, which she does. Lots of black women are embracing their natural hair now, but sometimes they want a break and to do something different. For myself, for example, I love my curls and I have the absolute cutest spiral curls and waves that occur naturally when my hair is wet. But my hair is quite uneven at this time and I haven't a vehicle, time or money to hit up a salon right now (I cut it at home...which it looks okay, but definitely needs some professional attention). So, I wear it straightened out because the unevenness is less noticeable that way. Also, and this is just for me, but I get less breakage when I wear it straightened. I don't think that's pushing a Euro-centric agenda, I think it's just another one of many looks that we can do with our hair, which is amazing :)
@WellBeing9993 жыл бұрын
@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley Agreed. I can grow my hair longer because of less breakage due to single strand knots with straightened hair. It is what it is 🤷🏾♀️

Hey Girl, i love how you always discuss with your client what's the best treatment and cut for their hair. It's the flipping of the scissors for me every time. Beautiful client and style! My favorite KZfaq Stylist!!! Stay safe and stay blessed!

Her hair looked so good after the cut. My hair needs a good cut, I need to find a a hairdresser as good as you. To find a good hairdresser, what kind of questions should I be asking, I will be interviewing them, had too many bad past experiences?

That flat iron is legit. I love the way you gracefully place the curls after applying heat. Lovely presentation

Ques: I did a big chop in August and I'm trying to grow my hair healthy but it is so dry and full of fairy knots. Can you please give me some tips on how to add moisture and get rid of the knots?
@naomiwilliams88503 жыл бұрын
I find that wrapping my hair after moisturising and styling it locks in the moisture. Also putting my hair in 9 twist after moisturising it and then styling it the next day locks in the moisture.

I’ve also heard her say and I’ve experienced this also, deep conditioning and sleeping with a silk or satin bonnet helps also

Get yourself a steamer and only use distilled water in the steamer with a deep conditioning mask. Also our hair dries out quick so try to spritz it with oil and water mix every few days. Shake the bottle before you spray it.

I just keep my hair straightened and cut out the single strand knots over time. Worked for me
