Light and fluffy Nutella Filled Doughnuts which has a Portuguese origin. This is like a fried cloud. It is light inside with a slightly crisp exterior.

1 Cup Warm Milk (250 ml)
1 Whole egg
1 egg yolk
2 Tbsp sugar
2 Tsp instant Yeast
3 Cups all purpose flour (375 grams)
55 Grams unsalted butter at room temperarture
1 Tsp salt
Nutella
oil for deep frying

Hi there! Lovely video! Instead of kneading by hand, could we use the kneading mixer (kenwood/kitchen aid) .. would it give the same effect ?

Malasadas is more airy and light. It's not as dense as donuts.

What if I want to bake these for an healthier option. Would that work? I can’t eat fried food

Yes, you can bake it at 180 C for 20-25 minutes or air-fry for 15 minutes.
