I think you can pull off these outfits, they don't look particularly bad but the soft natural outfits still look better on you. As for colors and having contrast, I find that it's better to refer to color season analysis instead of the kibbe recommendations and just stick to kibbe for the lines and cuts of clothing.

I think the soft natural lines with classic styling suits you best but your coloring is definitely leaning toward classic.

As someone who is most likely soft natural, but finds that a lot of the "soft natural" outfits aren't really my style, or necessarily something that feels comfortable on me, this video was so great to watch. No matter what you're told you'd typically look good in, it doesn't matter if you still don't feel confident or true to yourself in it. Your wardrobe should be flexible and work for you. P.S. that last outfit with the brown coat is GORGEOUS on you.

I think you look better in the soft natural outfits.

Hair is a good indicator with classics and naturals. Tamed and neat hair is a must with a classic. Also midlenght. Naturals look best with lively and unconstructed hair and layers. A natural can look very severe in a classic haircut.

I am struggling with similar issues, I have a broad bone structure and a vertical line (I'm 5'8), but my body is proportionate, slight hourglass, therefore I noticed that I need to honor my vertical line and slightly wide chest/back, but I drown in FN recs, therefore I follow DC recs with "adjustments". My face is completely SN, this translates in romantic essence, which means that I need to do make up and style my hair like SN and also I usually add a little waist emphasis. This way I created my own little style based on my specific lines (instead of trying to fit myself in a box). Your body looks SN to me, but your facial features looks simmetrical, nothing stands out too much, which translates in classic essence. Also you have a quite striking color contrast between your eyes, skin, hair (clear winter I think) which is a Dramatic characteristic. Therefore your personal style might be SN as general guide line (shoulder accomodation, waist emphasis), but more structured and symmetrical shapes (too much assymetry, or flowiness espetially arroud the face, might not work for you) and also have a look at your color palette, cool tones bring out the Dramatic and more bold side of you. Ofc this is just my own opinion, I'm not a stylist or anything 😅

You also definitely have a seasonal color palette in Winter, possibly Clear Winter.

I also go back & forth lol but pretty sure I’m a SN with classic in my essence blend. This shows up for me in a similar way: looking more harmonious with solids (still wear some patterns when I just love them, but it definitely isn’t my best look), looking better in more high quality fabrics, more contrast than my seasonal color type would suggest, etc. So, now I am trying to use SN lines but with classic elements in mind and let some of my bohemian eclectic spirit show up in other ways. 😂 it’s a messy and fun process but wow do I envy actual classics.

I have the same struggle - though maybe we are in the same boat. I found more recently that I have a soft natural body, but with a classic essence. Maybe you also have a soft natural body type with a dramatic and classic essence. (Gabriella Arruda did a great video explaining harmonizing the kibbe body system with essences) Your leather jacket and brown coat look AMAZING on you and I think it strengthens this idea of having a soft natural body type with a more classic and dramatic essence. The brown colour and the texture of the coat as well as the leather align with your the soft natural body, while the cuts of the garments themselves harmonize with your classic and dramatic essence (slightly sharper and tailored but not so much that it constricts your soft natural body type).

That dress looks amazing on you, as does the brown coat - and they look great together! The shorts are also v. cool with those pockets. I prefer you in a sleeve, like on the dress.

You could be a soft natural kibbe body type with a classic essence (which is Kitchener's essence system that is used with kibbes system. I'm also exploring my kibbe type and getting into this stuff. I think I'm a Dramatic Classic, since I'm 5'7" I can only be so many things but I don't ever dress with classics in mind. I usually dress as a Natural, so I probably have natural essence, and I look fine when I dress with a natural piece, but compared to a full DC outfit, I look better in a DC outfit than a natural outfit).

Love this video! You look amazing in these looks! Perhaps some of the other SN outfits you've been styling have more DC potential since things are such a spectrum. Also, as a DC I think flowy stuff can still work just flowy with solid colors or bolder patterns rather than small/ditsy. Like a long pleated skirt is good for DCs for example. And then long symmetrical fringe or something of that nature.

You look really good in all of those outfits! Thank you for the ideas!! Your lovely face looks symmetrical to me, especially bc you can part your hair in the middle and it looks really good! (When I part mine in the middle, it highlights my crooked nose, heehee.) The Kibbe sustem is so confusing, but it’s possible you are a dramatic classic. I thought I most closely fit the soft natural description too, but now I’m not so sure. I’ve heard that soft naturals are often closest to romantics, but as soon as I think I’m sure, I find a reason to doubt my assessment when it comes to Kibbe. I think it’s possible to try to reverse engineer your type, if all else fails, like you are doing by trying on a different type’s styles. The thing I have started doing when looking for clothes is noting my first impression when trying something on and only selecting items that make me go “wow 🤩” in the mirror bc I used to try to talk myself into items that I liked the idea of rather than how they looked, and then have to go back and return them. Also, you seem to be like me in not liking the drapey, flowy, boho styles usually suggested for the soft natural, pleh! All that fabric would swallow me up. I read this advice somewhere: Make sure you are wearing the outfit, and not the other way around. 😎 Soeven if we are not totally sure what type we are, we can figure out which styles look good, then maybe it will eventually fall into a specific type more clearly.

I think you look great in both styles! I do disagree and think that your lighter hair suits you better than darker hair. (I'm not a professional haha) but I think you might be a summer season, I feel like black is a little too deep for your complexion. You looked great with the brown coat tho. I do struggle with kibbe myself, but it is good to remind that body ID doesn't necessarily relate to your personal style, always wear what you like and what makes you feel good! For me, the most important thing to respect about your ID even if you don't know it is your vertical line. The clothes themselves are a little bit tricky to analyze by ourselves, we need to try and see maybe the fabrics that look better and the cuts - types of cleavage, for example. Anyways, I love your videos! Your face does look a bit like a DC, to be honest. I watched this because I have done the test 2ce, the first time I came out as dramatic classic and 2nd time soft natural! I’m new hear but I feel like you definitely have a dramatic or edgy undertone. Both descriptions fit! I’m not deep in to the types. Just looking for some guides, but I definitely have long limbs and feel great in dramatic classic clothing. “Business casual “ vibe. But keen to learn more about the natural. I hold all my weight my in tummy “apple” shaped. Does anyone else have a similar issues? Confused if they are more DC or SN with an apple body shape?

I’m so glad I found this video because I know I’m not alone now! The first time I took the test, I thought I was a soft natural, and a couple weeks later, thought - wait, DC? buuut everything I read said those two were complete opposites, so it basically wasn’t possible. Then I thought maybe FN, and I was just underestimating my vertical? Looking at our bodies objectively is SO HARD. Anyway, I’ve just kind of accepted that I don’t fit perfectly into any category, but probably lean more natural, and I’ll just take my favorite bits and pieces from those three for now, as long as tops aren’t pulling in the shoulders or too constraining. I’ve found that its easier for me to go full soft natural in the summer, but I like to dress with a bit more ‘tude in the colder months, and that’s where I borrow from dramatic (and wear a lot of black even though I’m an autumn 😂) You look awesome in all of these, and if you feel good in them too, that’s the most important part! Anyway- I love your videos and it’s so fun and helpful to see a fellow (possible) natural navigating personal style!

I’ve only just found this video today and well I sort of understand where you’re coming from. I’m currently really overweight so I look extremely soft now and a lot of ppl in Kibbe online spaces say I’m soft natural. But I just never really identified with it as much. Now I don’t think I’m very edgy or anything but tailored chic sort of seems to fit me better than fresh and sensual lady. I’m not at all fresh or sensual 😂 and I don’t think it’s the first thing people notice about me either. (Also I gain weight the same way as described in the book.) I would say though that the DC silhouette is sort of like an upside down triangle. A bit more emphasis on the shoulders and a tapered silhouette. (So if A-line doesn’t really work for you then you could be DC!)

My vote is some kind of classic. I'm seeing very Jackie O vibes in OP's physical structure and then the lines that look naturally suited. We can wear lines outside of our favored/top suggestions. A flowy scarf with a structured coat isn't forbidden for classics or dramatics

When I saw you in the first outfit, my first thought was oh okay, there is a bit of lovely width there so maybe she is a SN, but then you put on the last black dress and I audibly gasped. Loving this video! I’m an SN myself without a natural essence but def dramatic essence with less romantic & a touch of ethereal. I actually find I look the most myself in SD style but I’m still figuring it out. I’ve been typed but I dunno if I buy it. How would you feel about pure N lines? Pure N can often borrow from DC. Something about the DC it's like almostttttt ideal but too restricted, which make me feel that pure N might be your sweet spot. Idc what kibbe says, pure types still exist haha.

I'm biased because I consider myself a dramatic classic body shape, but the way you're wearing your clothes in this video makes sense to me. As much as I like the drapey stuff, I look much better with upper body structure with maybe some drape or swing from the thighs down. I'm also cool toned and wear a lot of black with jewel tone accents that're very minimal. I'm currently all over boat neck and high halter necklines, which I'd previously avoided because I thought they'd make my shoulders look too broad.

You could try on classic family! the leather jacket was very structured, it looks like it put you inside a box! it made me think that the balance in the pieces is better for you. the top of the dress and blouse that you start the video are balanced and sober, they were very good!

You look a lot like Lana Wood, the original Soft Natural Architype, in your face, coloring, and essence (IMO). Looking at her you'll see she was not particularly "soft" or "boho". Also, look into Kat Dennings and Jessica Brown. They are Soft Naturals with similar coloring and style to yours. Remember that KIBBE and STYLE are NOT the same thing. Kibbe is really just about lines. Meaning, if a shirt needs to be cut wider or slimmer in order to fit and flatter your torso. Those lines can fit within any style or aesthetic. Either way, play is how you'll find out what you like so I'm down to see more. You could do a series about you in different Kibbe Type lines for the week even if you wanted.

Honestly I think most DC’s can wear SN lines and vice versa. I think if you want to style your hair curly or big, wearing wider looser lines is more flattering - if you want to dress more simply or corporate, keep your styling minimal and chic and you’re good to go

DCs "can be chameleons" so it can be hard to ID but - welcome to the club!

Hair color is more to do with your color season than your body type. Your hair looks more reddish in the video and I think you might be dark winter or bright winter ( maybe) and cool hair might work for you better, not necessarily darker. Also body type and essence are two different things. Even if your body type would be soft natural but you give out different essence ( like classic or dramatic) those DC clothing might look great on you. After all, wear what makes you feel good :)

The last look was the best, to my eye! I don’t think you look good in black, but with the camel coat, it was really nice. I would not say the first look was a classic one. I must admit I thought it was a leisure suit.

It's hard to tell without seeing it head to toe, but as soon as you put on that black dress you popped. Those more classic lines definitely bounced off of the bone structure in your face much more harmoniously. The jacket seemed a little too boxy. Maybe more FN in its oversized fit. But that dress was on point.

I love the structured looks on you, I feel like more rounded corners and edges would work best - lapels, pocket plackets etc. More softness to the line, but not to the fabric. I'm no expert, just an opinion. I've been typed as Flamboyant Gamine and Dramatic Classic by two different stylists and I'm leaning towards DC as FG feels too dynamic for my character.

In my opinion, your appereance, very beautiful, is close to Naturals/Soft Naturals. Angles are blunt, no obvious vertical line, face is very fresh, i can't imagine this face with matt lipstick for examle. I don't see dramatic vibe. First outfit can suit you because it's casual in right colors, for pure Naturals such things also suits without some accessories (Remember Angelina Jolie as a Lara Croft). For Soft Naturals need to add something. Coat is very cool for Naturals and dress also) Black color suit you because you are brunette naturally. Sometimes Naturals can have high contrast and find classic clothes that will suite them. I'm Soft Natural and wear coats)

You may just have a dramatic/classic essence. I definitely see dramatic in your face.

I think your type is Dramatic Classic. Your essence is balanced, not elongated. You look better in the clean lines of dramatic classic. The textured bulky knits and layering and long sometimes-lopsidedness that works great on a Soft Natural would look messy and wrong on you. You have nice contrast, whereas Soft Naturals look better in low contrast and no sharpness or angles. The hair is a tell. Your hair is shiny, smooth and soft - and I am sure you agree it looks nicer neat, with the more defined and combed curls and waves that you show in most videos here, than the natural look, more messy and tousled, which looks so well on SNs. When you showed that natural tousled hair look in a video here, it just looks on you like messy-bedhead hair that needs a comb-through. The majority o your videos show you with more controlled hair here and it is so nice. Soft Naturals just glow with tousled hair. You glow in smoother cleaner hair. Also the neater, smaller more color-limited prints of the dramatic classic work well on you, and a few clean angles look well on you. ice. Just look at your hair (which is lovely). It looks so nice when it is neat (classic) and messy - not so you. Soft Naturals just glow with tousled hair. You glow in neatness. That's my opinion! My second choice for you would be Classic. I am Soft Classic but I also was drawn to the messy, layered more boho-artistic look of Soft Natural, which seemed the ideal type to me, and some of my old favorite clothes were actually SN. I realize now I look better in the neater, more controlled Soft Classic. I look at the fabric differences for the two types, and clearly SC is more me. And if you look at Kibbe fabric types and finishes for DC and SN I think you will think the same for you. Great on SN but bad on DC: Kibbe says DC's should avoid " thick, heavy, or rough knits which lend themselves more to the natural family. Fluffy knits with ornate trims, and cropped sweaters or sweater vests are also not ideal." These won't look well on you. For a SN, from Kibbe's book: "Dark colors [should be used] primarily for accents or for color combinations. Bright and soft color combinations work best, as opposed to starkly contrasting ones. For example light/bright or bright/dark combos are softer on you than light/dark ones. Wild color combinations (bright/bright) of opposing intensities are fun, particularly for your casual clothes. Avoid: Dull, monochromatic schemes. Head-to-toe dark schemes." Many of those avoids for SN's work well on DCs if not in an over-sized way. I think you look absolutely great in the simple black outfits. I wish I could wear those. Black ay not be your true color, but nonetheless, dark and clean looks well on you and you can get away with it. The funeral dress looks great on you! That's my opinion!

Having gone down a rabbit hole looking at too many videos of DC body types with heaps of celebrity examples, my opinion is that you probably have some sort of Natural Kibbe body type (I'm seeing some width in your body and fullness in limbs from this vid & your other vids). However you're likely to have a moderate amount of Classic in your essence-blend to feel and look as good as you do in classic lines. Color-wise, I'd type you as a warm-and-delicate, similar to Emilia Clarke, going by Merriam Style's color-theory system. That's based on how good the brown jacket looks on you here, and how lovely you look in the cream knit sweater in another vid, and how your muted black Blondie T-shirt in the other vid seems to work better on your skin than full-on black, in your other outfits. It just seems to me that pure black or optic white doesn't necessarily look bad on you, since you're gorgeous, but they don't look to me like they're quite your best colors. I think too that the warm cherry-red jacket and also cherry-red dress from another vid is a trifle bright for you and seem to pull focus from your (beautiful) face.

You look gorgeous in all of them. As for the ones that show a lot of skin on top, try a long necklace, not too dainty, gold with some sparkle for the spaghetti strap dress. And try long-stranded vintage pearls for the pink one These will break up the width and make the eye go vertical. Remember soft naturals have great legs and arms, can pull off an hour glass and usually look pretty good from behind Just think your shoulders make you strong and sexy, halter tops, cuts are also good

So I think this outfit 4:47 is dc. There is accents, colour blocking with the white and black, your hair is sleek, covering the broad shoulders, you rock it. Soft naturals could not wear something so closed off in the chest. 6:39 This outfit is too dramatic, as in colour, for a dramatic classic, you would have to break it up with texture or shape. But when I see your face I see a cool sterile sophistication. Also, hairstyling for DCs can be a huge game changer. A sleek bun with hair pieces at the front. Or midlength, sleek and down is good to. Dcs can wear square or triangle necklines but not too servere. Its extremley hard finding the balance between classic, and not looking too soft and shapeless, to too dramatic and too unfitted, untainted, unsophisticated with natural lines. Classics are hard to define, because its all about minimalism, balance, its about features that are subtle, so sometimes you end up mistaking yourself for a natural because they are defined by what they arent. But I would say if you look good with a belt, sleek hair, red lipstick for a light look, or sultry eyes with a nude lip, tailored clothing, geometric lines but not too extreme, moderate shirts that meet below the hip bone, straight skirts or straight leg pants look great on you or coats just really make you shine, not too heavy, EVERYTHING IN DRAMATIC CLASSICS IS MODERATE, its hard but if you shine in these certain styles, than you are definitley a classic. Also that romper you wore, those are very much dc lines You have to accommodate for the broadness of the shoulders Whilst naturals have to accommodate for their shoulders, chest and narrow hips. If your shoulder are slightly wider than you hips, than you are a dc. I can't see you wearing flowy, unconstrained pieces. For me, they make me look more blunt, squarish and extremley unpolished. As a fellow dc, I loved your dc outfits. Also, dcs can lean into more natural lines, they dont look bad, but they dont make our cool sophisticated, chic, tailored, sterile, balanced, moderate essence shine.

Just found your videos. Kibbe is very limited and misses a lot of combinations. think you are on the overlap between the two categories. You don't suit very draped and boho or very structured sharp, high contrast. Whether you are classic natural or natural classic the look will be similar.

Your colouring is Spring and you are a DC. You are a DC because of your strong vertical line and you are not so fleshy, so no romantic undercurrent to make you SC. Your eyes are very sparkly and you can wear black. That is high contrast Bright Spring, warm. The brown coat is magnificent but too muted, a bit of summer, an autumn could wear it. Wear a high contrast vanilla white shirt or a another neutral but you need brightness close to your face to give yourself your natural freshness. I'm an SC Bright Spring. If you were an SC you would put on weight evenly all over when overweight and have shorter limbs with more roundness. A natural has more bluntness, and a less defined waist. You look best with a center line because you're symmetrical face and body are perfect, harmonious and no one feature dominates except your bright sparkly eyes. You could investigate your essence, you would have at least three, like most people. Essences are a video you could explore in another video.

If you read the book, Metamorphosis, I think you fit DC much better. I don’t Natural at all, especially in your face, which is very chisels and symmetrical.
