John I went 475 with khromewerks on my streetglide based off your videos. My mechanic also installed the s&s polished intake manifold from fuel moto. He called Dave, which he said was one of the most professional people he’s ever talked to, and gave him great guidance on that set up. My guy is a Harley master tech from Mmi. A few other places told him it was a terrible combo. I trusted your videos and Dave’s knowledge I’ve seen in the videos. What a beast that bike is! I’m glad I stuck to my guns on what I wanted. 129hp 143lb/ft and I’ve got the dyno chart

Brother, I couldn’t wait to catch this piece, I’ll watch it later tonight. BUT! First a couple questions, I went back and watched Diamond Dave (he is a Diamond in the rough man!) install and explain the “whys” around the Man O War Compensator in Secretariat… I mean Silverback. Lol. Man you got the two greatest race horses ever tied into your engine!! 🤣 I could not have imagined being so glued to an install of a compensator, but his explanation as to what allows for maximum performance, where guys miss it, in a way I could clearly understand, was genius….those guys nodding off in a MMI class have no idea what they’re missing out on! Question: What do you or Dave like better in the Man O War versus a Baker Compensator, if anything? And second question: I love the set up… Upgraded Compensator and Rekluse Torque Clutch (bullet proofing the bike as you said in an earlier vid)…. Did you also upgrade the transmission or still running stock? I’ve seen some recent vids on beefed up Compensator & Clutch, big hp & torque, wreaking havoc on stock transmission (maybe just for those really hot rodding. Sorry so long winded bro, could take notes fast enough, but had to run those Q’s by you. Can’t tell you how important and valuable this content you and Diamond Dave can share is, around these set-ups! Screw the Grammy’s last night bro! I’m too locked into your content! 🤣

Excellent video with great technical noteworthy comments from Dave. To get the most, best numbers (and Curves)...The Cam choice has gotta match, be compatible with the Compression Ratio; and the Exhaust System has gotta match the combination of Cam & C.R. I ordered a complete S&S 465c Cam Chest Kit for my 2021RGS, 114 (Stage-1 now w/S&S 2-1 and Fuel Moto # FM3956 Air Cleaner; Dynojet Fuel Moto Map). Reason for 465 cam was desire for big low end torque. Now I'm considering the 475c cam. Hmmmm?

It really is amazing how a cam change can make such an improvement on the M8. I put the Zippers Red Shift 468 in mine but I am using a Fuel Moto map with several autotune runs on the Power Vision bike runs great and has good power but I don't know my numbers. I had a 2007 Street Glide spent $3k on a big bore kit and tune to get to 102 HP, The bang for the buck really is great on the M8.

John, because of you I put this exact exhaust on my 2018 Softail slim, I always hated the Vance and Hines slip on it came with. Not only does it look amazing in Chrome as well it sounds amazing and really woke the bike up after tune! Thanks as always for the recommendations. Hope to see you at a bike and breakfast soon. I would love to see the difference between that street Bob 475 cam and my breakout 475 cam. Dave says tire makes a difference well mine has the 240 tire I don't know what's on the street Bob. But I have same exhaust different air filter kit and probably different tuner since I have the powervison tuner and target tune.

Excellent video and comparison. I’m guessing the 22XE sits rt on the 475s graph. It was close with the V&H that is inferior for power numbers..

Bummer I just watched a Harley Tech do a stage 2. He talked about that o ring on the push rod two ways of doing it. He puts it on the bottom rather than up top. When you put it up top you can easily pinch the oil ring.

Bro, I love what you did here!! their is no better explanation and demo then this on the internet today! I have the 475c cam with the 119 and love it but also wondered myself on what cam would work better. So far I made a great choice . Also can you ask Dave how he feels about power duals with svt boneshakers? I would love his opinion because I'm thinking of switching it up. Right now I have 123hp 133tq. And another question since you were talking about people that may just want a small bump in numbers. Will the 475 make it so that other components will need upgraded?Springs,clutch,etc...? Looking to spice up my 114 Heritage but don't want to go crazy changing this..then this..then have to change more.

I have a 2019 breakout m8 114 with the 475c cam kit and dk customs outlaw 578 air filter kit bassani 2-1 exhaust. I haven't done anything to the springs or anything like that I do have a powervison tuner and target tune. Got the tune emailed to me from dynojet themselves and it's fun to ride and I'm getting 51 mpg. Hopefully this helps you.

Why on earth anyone purposefully mis-cam and engine knowing ahead of time the results will not be optimal? "I want to spend the money for a stage-2, but I just don't want that extra 10-15 HP and Torque!" - said literally no-one, ever.
