Thanks! Seems that you are the only person on the world who show us how this product illuminates a scene! Thats very useful, thank you :) All the others show the lights on a wand or only hold them into the camera... 😩

Softboxes are slightly softer, slightly less shadow. With the leds on a ball (which is now included) you can better angle them and might be able to take a bunch of the shadows out. As someone pointed out this is the only video that actually does a side by side, thanks for that. Made up my mind and getting these leds =)

Dang, I prefer the softness of the Softbox lights! I think it really comes down to the reason you're using these: if you're going to be transporting the lights a lot then the LED lights will be more practical. If you will be using the lights mostly in a studio setup then the Softbox is still a strong contender. Now that you've watched your video back, which light do you prefer iro visual appeal?!

Hey Anita, I completely agree it depends on the situation. I like the more soft natural light of the softboxes as well. I do like that the LED’s are better for portability. I also bought some diffusers for the LED’s to bring down the harshness. What do you use?
