So Hyang is a 45 years old devout Christian and gospel singer from South Korea. In her early 20's and newly married, she was diagnosed with early stage uterine cancer, which left her unable to have children. After receiving a healing from God, So Hyang's goal has been to use her voice to bring comfort to people who are experiencing difficult times. She IS NOT motivated by either money or fame. So Hyang does not own any social media platforms. However, she is happy when others share her music on KZfaq. In addition to being a published author of several fiction books, she lectures about song and vocal technique at a South Korean university.

We all wonder if Sohyang is human or from another planet. Current odds are that she’s from another planet, with an outside chance she’s actually an angel come down from Heaven. 😇 We have never heard anyone sing like her, or be able to hold an audience in the palm of her hand until she lets them go. Her voice is, as one person described it, like liquid gold. Perfection in clarity and pitch, and she doesn’t fade in the upper octaves, which is startling when you hear her hit those 5th and 6th octave notes with such _POWER_ it actually gives everyone goose bumps-and makes us bald guys’ hair stand on end! As she says, her voice “is from God.” She does all the musical arrangements herself, with the input of her in-law family and musical assistants, teaches vocal technique at a South Korean university and speaks five languages: Korean, English, French, Vietnamese and Chinese, as well as reading Greek! Let me catch my breath. OK. She is a cancer survivor from uterine cancer at the age of 20, just after getting married, and states very plainly that God saved her life due to the prayers of her church. But this left her without the ability to have children so she decided to dedicate her life to being a Contemporary Christian Gospel singer and has refused recording contracts from the biggest corporations in the world. She only wants to sing for charities, churches and while doing missionary work, to strengthen those suffering through difficult times. David Foster, Josh Groban, Michael Bolton and others have all eagerly worked with her when they were in Asia. She contracted hepatitis B from a blood transfusion during her cancer surgery and it clings to her to this day. Imagine how she must feel with this coronavirus floating around everywhere! She was about 37 when she sang this version of “Arirang Alone,” their unofficial national anthem based on a 600 year old folk song expressing their desire to reunify north and south: vimeo.com/308253527 While being sick with pneumonia eight times from 2016 through to 2020, and considering giving up singing altogether, she decided to enter a televised singing contest called “King of the Masked Singers” in 2017 and won six consecutive times, which has catapulted her into international attention from the performances being posted on KZfaq. Whitney Houston’s former manager saw her on KZfaq and showed her to Oprah Winfrey, who brought her to David Foster’s attention. Foster then contacted Sohyang and went to Japan in order to have her perform eight concerts with him at Tokyo’s famous Blue Note Club in late-2018. For those who don't know, David Foster was Whitney Houston's producer for some of her songs, wrote "I Have Nothing," her most iconic song, and is the most famous and influential music producer in the world. Giacomo, superb reaction. I watched your appreciation grow and grow. You realized that you were seeing and hearing something very special - and then the Gospel came through. You are fortunate to have Comments from the particular group of fans that preceded mine. So then, you know that she and close associates, including her husband, do all of the arrangements for her TV and Stage performances including Musical, Instrumental, Chorus and Staging. As you get to know her, you will see the Choir Director in her subconsciously directing the music. Having sung in church, I picked that out and find it to be just one of her delightful traits. In Duets, it is very obvious. She is also an actress and she must be watched AND heard to be fully appreciated. She IS a musical genius. Enjoy.

Il belting è un modo di cantare , non un registro , puoi cantare (come nel suo caso ) un G5 e consideralo in belting se fatto come lo fa lei con grande presenza di voce di petto. Se considerassimo belting la sola e pura voce di petto praticamente nessuno potrebbe cantare in belting oltre un Bb4/B4. La prima parte era un misculgio tra heady mixed voice/falsetto ed head voice . Dalla seconda parte sino alla fine (tranne per alcuni momenti dove cambiava registro ) ha cantanto con un mix di petto e bialanciato , a seconda di quello che le serviva . L'ultimo G5 ( come daltronde tutto il resto della canzone )era perfettamente bilanciato, supportato, con risonanza e un vibrato finale costante e perfetto .

Her vocal range is RIDICULOUS, and her breath control is INSANE. BTW, So Hyang, her husband, abd some assistants, arrange every aspect of her live performances; the music, backing vocals staging, lighting, etc.

Very unique analysis! I also think that as a gospel singer she may start off in an intimate manner but then proclaim with confidence her source of assurance available to others. She sings to comfort and encourage her audience, despite turning down offers to record. She is primarily self taught I think but did have perhaps a couple of sessions with Seth Riggs.

자신은 할수 없지만. 많이 듣고 공부해서 알고 있다고 하지만. 얼마나 많은 노력과 고통이 있는지는 모르는거 같네요. 전문가는 파악하고 놀랍다고 하더가..비판하는데. 정작 역대급 가수들은 누구를 비판하지도 않는다. 얼마나 힘든지 알고 있기때문에 그런 노래를 피하고 콘서트를하고 마지막에 자신의 모든걸 보여주고 실신 가까이하지. 음악 평론가들. 평가하는 사람들이지만 정작. 가수는 없다. 가수가 아니였던 사람이 곡을 평가할수는 있을지라도 노래하는 가수를 평가할수는 없지.
