Bruce Lee When it comes to screaming you are right. So Hyang can't be compared with black singers who are famous for their velvet, rich and expressive voices. So Hyang's voice lacks richness ad velvety. It is not enough only to sing high.

The original was my favorite song and I was sure that nobody could ever sing it like Whitney and then came along SoHyang. Your logic is that whoever screams higher has a better voice. I talked with so many experts and they all told me that this girl can't be compared with Whitney, Aretha, Tina. Velvety, richness, expressivity make the good voice, not only the octaves.

Have you heard her do Arirang Alone! Incredible vocal range. Most people would have to go into falsetto to reach the notes that she hits in this particular song. I believe she actually starts I have nothing in at least a half an octave higher then Whitney did.

She did a very good job. A little to shouty though. This is not an easy song to sing. However, I much prefer Whitney's original. I prefer Whitney's tone and phrasing. Of course I am partial. Whitney (in her prime) is one of my all time favorite singers.
